Still in doubt between this camera with the 40mm f2.8 (or 2.5?)or the Fuji XE5 with the 23mm f2.8.
I want something small and light to do the classic X100 street photography but I MUST have interchangable lenses.
Currently I rarely have my camera with me because my old DSLR is just too big and heavy.
I like the process of editing but never bring myself to it because it just ads up to my huge to-do list (creative dude with ADD what else is new) that's why the film presets on the Fuji have always spoken to me because you can get some stylized custom things straight out of camera. However I promised myself years ago that my new camera would be a FF....
My dream would be an XE5 with FF sensor, good lowlight performance, weather sealing and built in ND filter
That’s true, but coming from a A7RV, the true end game setup will be A7CR II for me. Size and form factor of the A7C II but the literally perfect sensor spec from the new R VI.
Great review man, thanks for the insight.. I just moved from fuji xt4 to this camera for couple months now.. still figuring out how to use it properly..
I think it doesn't matter, because if you have a dual card slot camera and you use cheap SD cards, they can crash or get your files corrupted. All depends on the perfect and great SD card
I too recently took a trip to the Dolomites at the beginning of this month (end of the heatwave), taking my a7cii and sony 28-200mm lens. Wondered what you did about VND or shooting video settings? :)
Does the eyepiece actually improve the EVF experience? I have an A7c, and the EVF alone is like 70% of why I hate it. Also bought it for the compact factor, which means that my only path forward is the a7c ii (unless I want to supersize the body and go for an a7 iv/v), but if the EVF on the a7c ii is as useless as on the a7c then I already know I'm not gonna like it...
Why the EVF experience on the a7c is terrible: It's tiny, the sensor on it is pretty inaccurate which means it keeps flickering back and forth to the back screen, you can't use it when you're outside and there's even a hint of sun... oh and the back screen has pretty shit colors which means I only find out about what colors I got really when the pictures are on the computer. I really hope the a7c ii improves that too...
I honestly hate Sony lol , I ran 2 a7ivs for profession work for the last 5 years . I can rely on sony but I don't enjoy it. I currently own a z6iii for work and a GRIV for an edc which honestly is the most fun camera ive ever owned and ive owned about 52 mirrorless cameras since 2016. Im currently looking to fill a gap since the gr doesn't have weather sealing and I don't like taking the z6 around with me . I want to like this camera but im so on the fence if I'll enjoy it or regret it .

After going to Italy this summer with my Sony A7CII I was surprised with how good it was as a camera
