Kudo is said to be derived from Daidoshu Kyoudo and Kyokushin Karate, but aside from the fact that the first Azuma Takashi was a disciple of Choi Baedal,
the connection with Kyokushin is increasingly blurred.
The reason lies in its use of facial strikes.
This martial art allows for powerful punches to the face, headbutts, and even kicks to the groin!
And it's one of the few striking martial arts that allows ground combat, even among those wearing gi.
Kudo has the broadest rules, allowing for striking while holding the gi!
