It's actually impressive how much CR7 has managed to screw up his legacy in the past few years.

Leadership isn't given, it's earned.

Even if messi never won those silverwares and if things were really the same as 2016 he for me and millions of other fans will always be the goat. It was never about silverwares or trophies..those were just cherry on the cake..because when messi played football the sport found its purest voice.. and there will never be a player like him again.❤

Another thing that separates them is Messi’s peak is his entire career

2022 WC was the final nail in coffin for this debate.

We all knew this day would inevitably arrive, guys. The King has played his last match for Argentina. ❤😢

When a playmaker is putting up the same amount of goals as the best goalscorer in history, it means that the playmaker is the best player in the world. Simple as that.

I just feel that Messi really got hurt and blunt with all these hate comments he got to bear before 2016, and finally this made him stand up and prove them wrong, so finally he can retire from international football in peace. The opposite happened to Ronaldo after that.

Messi is an Alien. Everyone else is just human 👽 🐐

Messi decided to retire international football on a high note. While Ronaldo is still clinging on his international career and refusing to let go and accept that age is catching up on him.

12:26 "I don't even know what I'm explaining myself, Ronaldo fans didn't make it this far in the video anyway" A wise man😂❤

Ronaldo should be despised for contributing to the orchestration of internet myths about him and conspiracies around Messi, which were all designed to fill the gap between Ronaldo and Messi

Zlatan said it all : "Ronaldo is a trained product, and Messi is a natural"

There comes a time when the trained product can't train like he used to. A natural was born that way, and he will die that way.

Debate ended when Messi lifted the World Cup trophy

This gap in this debate is so wide now there’s no point of even comparing them anymore. Messi is in his own galaxy. And just look at the way he is treated by his teammates. Respect is earned, not given. Thank you Leo❤️🐐

The debate is finally over - Antony is the goat

Was never a debate

That time during 2014-2020, I had really hard time arguing Messi as the GOAT. Most of my friends were Ronaldo fans(most became fans by looking at his off pitch antics, style). Sitting today after Messi retiring I really can smile with joy. My love, my support for that man really brought me immense joy as the retired.
