The Spanish police have arrested members of an important criminal organisation of British origin dedicated to international cocaine trafficking. One person has been arrested and five international arrest warrants have been issued against other members of this organisation based in the province of Malaga.
During the Miscellanea operation, a total of one ton of cocaine was intervened. This criminal group participated in the reception of abundant quantities of cocaine to the house in which they lived on the Costa del Sol and that they moved to different port points in Spain using the "go fast" methodology with high-capacity vehicles and large-capacity vans. Finally, the cocaine was sent by sea to Great Britain.
The investigation begins when it intercepts in Talavera La Real (Badajoz), a van that was carrying 17 sports bags containing 423 kilograms of cocaine. The driver fled, but the investigators were able to determine that the van had started its journey from Estepona (MΓ‘laga), so they reinforced surveillance around the buildings and the main objectives.
Days later, while a suspicious vehicle was being tracked in an industrial estate in Baza (Granada), a van was intercepted in which the agents found 326 kilograms of cocaine hidden in several suitcases and the driver, of British origin, was stopped.
