I think doing something difficult for 30 years in it self is a success

"Education is not the knowledge of facts but training of the mind to think."
-Albert Einstein

A. Einstein:
- Photoelectric Effect (Strengthening Quantum Mechanics and proving Max Planck right)
- Heat Capacity of solids (Used Quantum Mechanics to show why temperature is cubed in the heat capacity of solids)
- Brownian Motion (Demonstrated the existence of molecules/atoms)

I love her calming science voice

So far, no one has made a solid theory of everything, so we can't take it as something against Einstein as a genius. Many tries and no one was successful... Einstein still remains a man who made a paradigm shift in science, which is the definition of a scientific genius.

Thank you again, though having a limited  understanding - reading /videos, I still find it captivating. Much appreciated, ATX.

4:54 "... the photons or electrons suddenly behave like particles again, producing only two bands."
What is surprising, in the experience of the double slit with a single electron at a time, is that we have never wondered, when interferences are created, if the electron always traveled well as a wave and not as a particle : after all, since we do not interfere, nothing proves that this is not the case. Interferences simply sign the existence of a wave phenomenon. But it can well accompany the electron without making its dual nature - wave AND particle - disappear.

Love these videos....

Beautiful overview! There’s a concrete way to keep Einstein’s geometry and still unify with electromagnetism: treat gravity as a thermodynamic response of the vacuum’s free-energy to matter and EM boundaries (TGH/Q-TGH). The effective spacetime metric then emerges from the same functional that sets EM mode structure—no literal extra dimension or path-dependent rods, and standard QM stays intact. This gives sharp tests the field can do now: look for tiny, frequency-locked “gravity-like” signals when you modulate EM boundary conditions (Casimir/photonic cavities) and interferometric phase shifts that track cavity geometry. On the astro side, a single low-acceleration scale explains galaxy regularities and links to a gentle w(z) drift. It’s falsifiable, lab-friendly, and keeps the unification dream empirical.

1:44 I think your magnet is  in wrong direction

Very interesting and informative (as usual). Thank you for all the work and then sharing.

I love your videos and am amazed how you are able to keep up such interesting quality for so long. I often smile when I see ove 1M subscribers, knowing I was one of the first.
Another great video. I was struck by, "It is tasteless to prolong life artificially".
Thank you!

To understand Einstein's struggle, it's crucial to see that General Relativity has two distinct, but interconnected, parts:
The Field Equation (EFE) and The Equation of Motion (Geodesic Equation): This describes how curved spacetime tells matter how to move. Matter, like planets or light, follows the "straightest possible paths" in curved spacetime, called geodesics.
Einstein wrote to  Constantine Carathéodory a genious greek mathematician  asking for clarification and a "satisfactory derivation" of the Hamilton-Jacobi equation and canonical transformations, which are central to Carathéodory's work.
Carathéodory provided this clarification, which Einstein found "beautiful," and Einstein immediately used these concepts in his subsequent work on the theory, recognizing that the mathematical rigor provided by Carathéodory was necessary for a complete and consistent theory.

Thanks a lot well explained unknowns

A compass placed in a child’s hand—and a lifetime spent finding the way.
Einstein didn’t finish the “theory of everything,” but he taught us something more important: dare to believe nature has order, and don’t quit before chaos.
On the thin line between “genius or madman,” his obsession became a legacy—not a final answer, but the courage to ask better questions.
So each time we look up at a sky curved by gravity, we remember the map is unfinished—but the journey is still worth taking.

No no no no please. I am a formal high energy theorist and can give a deeper interpretation of this. Einstein was absolutely so ahead of his time. Trying to unify the forces, and spending 30 years of it, is no failure. Witten and others in the early 1980s would NOT have gotten string compactifications and much of modern high energy physics (including AdS/CFT since the AdS space is on a compactified string theory)! Einstein was doing the best path forward, but just did not have the tools. Not a failure on him

Great 👍👍👍

Spooky action at a distance!

I really love this channel therefore the comments that follow are just for improvement: the sketch for em induction is slightly incorrect since the magnet is moving upraise the coil in other words the field is not changing with respect to the wire. 😊
String theory as far as I know (and Prf Susskind said) is not a representation of our universe, quite like the other candidates mentioned in the video. I am not a pro, just an amateur in physics but I find this topic truly fascinating, and above all I like to listen to Roger Penrose about “gravitize “ the standard model ❤
