Back in the early 90s, I remember I was riding my bike through downtown L. A Right by the court building and, I ran into stephen Adler, setting on the wall outside of the criminal court building. Just when all the court hearing stuff was going on between the drummer and the rest of the band he was very nice. But I guess everything went downhill from there
I made about 27k per year, supported a gf and her 3 kids from 2009 to 2014. Add in the chaos, that's a pretty heavy load. But it was ok. I had to leave her to get peace in my daily life. I wish I had millions of dollars to whine about. Anyway... Peace is better than any hot beautiful red haired bird and better than any piece of furniture or money. Peace be with you all. If the bird wants everything? Let her have it and you will gain more than you ever need.
The thing about l.a bands is they understood the industry they new how it worked unlike most places l.a is were most the labels are and if your a band in l.a your going to hear how the business works by the clubs the bands the a.r guys you meets most of them didn't take a massive advance and had a good contract compared to bands outside of l.a you don't hear about many l.a bands getting ripped off why because they already had a basic grasp on the industry same with the Seattle grung bands for some reason new the industry well sound garden was getting offered deal since 84 with 200k advance sound garden refused they wanted only a small advanc3 so they could pay it back but the a.r guy refused its a crazy business
IN July of 1987 I saw them on the GIRLS Girls Girls Tour. Nobody knew who they were, They looked like a GLAM band, Everyone BOOED. CRAZY, but you can't hear songs for the first time ON STAGE.
When Duff and Slash came back with Velvet Revolver, Axle was so hurt , he critizied the band. Axle knew that Salsh and Duff had the possability of out doing GnR by themselves.
I saw GnR open for Maiden in Ottawa Canada on the Appetite tour. They hadn't broke out yet. They had "welcome to the Jungle" on MTV , but sweet child O mine was about six months away. That all looked pretty worn out and didn't really sound all that great. I heard they hated supporting Iron Maiden
Heard alot of 💩 about axel how bad & selfish he was ,i wouldn't trust a women saying what slash was earning as we know they like to increase the amount to get more cash but number is probably true as touring is the best erner these days as modern musicians get pretty little from albums these day ,i remember the 80s when you could have a one hit wonder and be set for life.
