The Sabbath schedule piece is the part almost nobody talks about, and it is probably why your mornings sound calm instead of crammed. We started building one real rest day into the week and the other four stopped feeling like a race. Also, leaving the paper airplanes in instead of editing them out is why this channel is worth watching. If it helps anybody else here, we moved our short Bible time into the car on errand days rather than doing it at the table, and the resistance basically disappeared. I make a five minute kids podcast for that slot called Carpooling with Jesus, so I am biased, but the principle works with anything short.

I love this! 💓 what a great video to just see the realness and flexibility of homeschooling… in everything from you not being dressed before starting, to the kids playing while you read to them. This was impactful for me to see other moms in that season of life/homeschooling as well. Thank you!

Love the idea of a Sabbath Schedule! We do a weekly sabbath so this would be cool to implement!

Thanks so much for sharing an honest day. Love all of your stuff!
What math do you use? I have a 5 & 7 year old and we are still doing a lot of play for the 5 year old and Good and Beautiful 1st grade Math and 100 Easy Lessons to Teach your Kid to Read for the 7 year old. I have not yet let my kids on a computer or tablet and I’m wondering when I should start to introduce them and incorporate a little bit of technology whether it be a tablet or a computer and of course it would be heavily monitored.
