I guess you have to 'disapear' when you dont have the option to stay anonymus.

Relocating after the win does not eliminate jackpot winning state tax, because the income was sourced in that state.

Moving only affects future annuity payments, not lump‑sum winnings.

The first twenty four hours is critical after winning the jackpot. I’m sure the lottery district will be able to track the where the winning tickets were bought from, then there’s the camera, they can easily identify you since there’s a timestamp on the ticket. You have to make a decision within the same timeframe, and have a lawyer “ you can trust” ready to prepare the  revocable trust agreement. What a problem to have for the lucky winner.

Lottery wins create behaviour like that after a death. They bring out the best in a few and the worst in others.

It's not fair that some states protect people and others do everything in their power to reveal as much information as possible to put the person in possible immediate danger. It for sure has its evil reasons behind the "transparency" rule.

I believe that people shouldn't have to disclose their names as when you do people who you new many years ago seem to come out of the wood work and if the people who win the lottery are young and have a young family it put them in danger of criminals who will go as far kidnapping the children for ransom and even put their own lives in danger
