"We delayed SQ42 due to GTA VI's release."

"We delayed SQ42 due to GTA VI's online mode release."

"We delayed SQ42 due to GTA VI's PC release."

Place your bets folks.

It's your game, wrap it up

It's not done, it's not ready, and releasing it isn't in the business plan, anyway. One day, all this is going to make for a fantastic documentary.

“who said it’s coming out this year” buddy it says 2026 at the end of the gameplay showcase and multiple posts?

"...like being the face of erectile dysfunction" Just dying...Charlie's takedown was masterful and brutal.

Its your game Chris, wrap it up.

I'm a Brit I can see and understand friendly pisstake. What was in that livestream was not really friendly pisstake.  There was a load of tension in that stream.

Chris Roberts simply isnt capable of finishing anything when nobody is telling him to actually fulfill a deadline and that feature xyz simply wont be in the final product.

He is his own worst enemy and the way the project is financed enables him to basically stay in this endless loop of vision vs reality.

It doesn't matter if moist's take is accurate, if this is how it comes across to outsiders, then that's how it comes across.

Nothing in that SC live stream was true British banter, that was pure workplace toxicity, there was no team unity or friendship in that room, no mutual respect, zero and if anyone cant tell the difference you dont know what youre talking about lol

They can't even give you a set release date for Squadron 42. Not when it was "supposed" to come out in 2026, nor after it's been delayed to 2027...

It's all a joke.

Spoiler: it's not releasing in all 2027 either...

13:31 'We're not that stupid' You sure about that chief? The backers aren't that stupid? But even if you know they lied to you you'll still buy ships. This isn't the first obvious lie.

Love how he remembered the "Hold the line" marketing jargon, it really was a lie as per usual 😂

I totally get where he's coming from. This game is crowdfunded. People have paid for it and it's been over a decade. The idea of him prioritizing a perfect launch window for the press and content creators makes it feel like the backers aren't as important. It totally makes sense to want to release in a good press window... but it feels wrong when you're delaying the product for the sake of non-backers.

The Church of Roberts is collapsing and in 2027, it's going down in flames. A lot of us Star Piggies are going to be left holding the bag.

To push a game forward you need to have a game to push forward 😭😂

Fuck those investors. We funded the game YEARS before those investors. Give us the game we flipping paid for already.

The GTA thing is 100% just an excuse, next year GTA 6 is probably going to be coming to PC which would make it an even worse time to release Squadron 42 which will be an excuse for another delay.

"oh look another American that doesn't get British humour" - rando in chat about the livestream/wrap it up ending.
You must be delusional if you think that livestream was just good old British banter but then again you are a Star Citizen backer and defender after all.
