In this video, we tell you about a two-day bikepacking trip in the Dolomites with our friends.
We called it: XPDTN to Chalet44
Day 1 - 35km x 1750m+
We started from Fiera di Primiero. After packing our bikes and having breakfast, we climbed the Rolle Pass, the first stretch of which led to San Martino di Castrozza on the Primiero-San Martino di Castrozza cycle path. From the Rolle Pass, after admiring the Pale di San Martino and having lunch together, we descended to Paneveggio, where we took a forest road that would take us to the Chalet44 Alpine Lounge on Alpe di Lusia.
Overnight: We were hosted by the Chalet44 Alpine Lounge, which welcomed us and let us relax in its facilities.
DISCLAIMER: The Chalet44 Alpine Lounge is not equipped to accommodate overnight guests; they made an exception for us. For those wishing to replicate this adventure in our style, you can dine at Chalet44 and then stay overnight at the nearby Rifugio Alpe Lusia (just 1.5km away).
Day 2 - 68km x 1750m+
After a delicious breakfast, we set off again, pedaling up the Alpe before descending and joining the paved road to Passo San Pellegrino. Once we reached the pass, we made a quick stop at Rifugio Fuciade. Then, Passo Valles and climbed back up to Baita Segantini in Val Venegia. A dirt road descent to Passo Rolle followed by a long descent to Fiera di Primiero.
The tracks from these two days can be found on our komoot profile "Gravellata" under Completed Tours. If you'd like the route in one track and without the long initial climb, you can search for "Passo Rolle, Rifugio Fuciade, and Val Venegia" on our komoot profile "Gravellata" under Completed Tours.
This is one of our favorite rides, and we've already talked about it here on our channel. Here it is: LA PIÙ BELLA TRACCIA GRAVEL CHE DOVRESTI ...
Biking is special because it gives us days like this. Bikepacking is an activity we love, and sharing it with friends makes it even better.
This video is for our friends.
This video is also for you, to show you that cycling isn't just about watts and feats, it's also about days of conversation, laughter, and hard work to share.
We thank 3T Bike and Chalet44 for the opportunity.
See you in the next video!
Keep pedaling
