1:22:58 Your kid sounds so cute. "Slime Ranchaaaa' That line about kids never leaving you alone earlier makes way more sense now haha

Fun fact about Slime Rancher. The ocean is actually made of slime and so when a slime falls in they reappear somewhere else. (There is no actual game mechanic for this, it's just a fun bit of lore.)

"The problem is.. I've already finished the game.. I don't care" "I could not be bothered grinding them out in order to unlock rewards I didn't need"
Later starts experiencing issues with the drones
lol

Fun fact: Him deciding not to do those mini games cost him his psyche.  The upgrades that come from those video games are therapy in the world of slime rancher.  It's farm upgrades, drone upgrades, that one chicken thing.  there were times where pain went through my body (Like his apparent allergy to the moss blanket)  .  However, still a pretty good play through.

This game cured my toxic gaming, it showed me that i could have fun in single player games and that if a game makes you angry it's (most of the time) not worth playing. i love this game and recommend it to most people.

I played this YEARS ago. It's funny starting out with the mindset of maximizing profits but soon getting fed up with the associated issues and starting to feel like the bad guy for the poor living conditions.

I didn't expect such a cute game to hit me in the conscience like that.

Truly one of the most entertaining, consistent, and well-produced 100% channels out there! Love the pacing of these videos and especially the narration! I LOVE Slime Rancher and cannot wait to chill with this video! Thanks for your work Floydson and team!

its a shame you didnt find the mini game areas earlier, because their upgrades are actually great if you stick it through and grind them out.

Viktor gives you advanced drones which have 2 task slots, Ogden gives you upgrades for your farms which lets them grow more and not spoil as fast, and Mochi gives your coops upgrades that lets them keep double the chickens and takes away elders automatically

"So Hobson chose the door of love. How beautiful. Me too, actually, and it IS a good door! But be careful, Hobson; if you love too hard, you make children, and they never leave you alone." -Floydson 2024

Slime Rancher tips for anyone who needs them:

- Make all your slimes into largos as soon as you have the money for air nets, plort collectors and high walls. Try to keep them different largo types so that you're getting max efficiency. Practice in Casual first if you're nervous of Tarr outbreaks.
- Put a Solar Shield over Mosaic or Phosphor slimes' corrals or put them in the grotto, otherwise they have things happen (mosaic makes more fires faster, and phosphor slimes despawn in daylight)
-After you get the purple treasure pods unlocked, tier 3 and 4 extractors do not need rock, tabby or phosphor plorts; instead they use mosaic, dervish and tangle respectively. If you're looking for space somehow then you can replace some of your rock/tabby/phosphor slimes with others.
-Put puddle slimes in the pre placed pools in the docks or viktor's lab since it saves a corral space for slimes or farms.
-Fire slimes are nigh useless due to lack of slime science use and being quite cheap on the plort market. not to mention, they die if you don't put them in an incinerator with an ash trough upgrade.
- do the minigame sideworlds (ogden's, mochi's and viktor's) because they give you useful upgrades and a ton more space. ogden gives you really good farm upgrades, mochi gives you a money boosting one and a coop upgrade for if you need that, and viktor gives advanced drones.
- never waste strange diamonds on extra teleporters if you can. pop some of the tabby or rock gordos if you need fast travel to the moss blanket or the indigo quarry.
- you can use the jetpack with some timed jumps to save a slime key and jump over the moss blanket gate
- when you're headed to the ancient ruins, you should open the slime gate at the moss blanket, since it's way faster to get to
- if you're looking for hunter slimes, there's an island where they spawn a lot over that weird gap next to the honey slime gordo
- honey slimes are just generally some of the easiest slimes to start with, they pair with hunter well since hunter costs a lot and honey is good for slime science, plus you can get them both in one area
- when you're combining largos, try to combine a chicken eating slime type with one that eats fruit/veggies that ISN'T crystal slime
- crystal slime's favorite food doesn't grow in gardens that well so try to combine it with another slime that eats produce so it gets double plorts produced.
- you can use a max gordo snare from a treasure pod with a gilded ginger to get a gold slime gordo. this is the easiest way to get gold slimes for profit.
- advanced drones are op, combine an auto feeder with 4-6 largos in one corral and you'll get so many plorts.
- tangle largos near others (ESPECIALLY HONEY SLIMES) can be a tarr risk as their vines could possibly steal a plort before the plort collectors do.
- don't bother with lucky slimes unless really early game, they give only 50-200 coins

I loved watching him toss the slimes everywhere about 12 minutes in. Watching him toss a rock plort into the pink tabby pen gave me a premonition of doom. Watching him walk 3 minutes away to toss 1 tar rather than go to the back of the ranch made me realise his ranch was about to be decimated. I love slime rancher.

the complete chaos not even 12 full minutes into the video lol. truly a floydson original

In one universe, Viktor researches funny slimes. In another, he destroys the world with hextech

(English is my second language, sorry)
I'm a little rusty on this game, but if someone sees this comment and want to play it, I'll give some tips, most of then appeared in the video, so go watch it, I'll separate then in two topics:

  The Ranch:
1- When making Largos, always try to make a combination of a vegetarian slime and a carnivore slime, fruits and vegetables are way easier to grow than chickens, also always do a unique combination if you can
2- Don't overflow your corrals with slimes, I think the ideal number of Largos is between 6-8, trust me, you'll make a lot of plorts , and the auto-feeder only drops a limited amount of food.
3- Always give the slimes their favorite food, it produces double the amount of plorts, and on the topic, there's no need to make Pink Largos, unless you want to produce a lot of plorts for the Lab
4- Be careful with Boom slimes, they can launch plorts into other corrals, try give then their favorite toy and buy the music upgrade, but always make their corral far from the others
5- There's no need to make a pond, you can have Puddle Slimes in a specific pond with infinite water at the beach area of the ranch, to the left of the Pod. You can also grow Fire Slimes in an Incenerator, just need to buy a upgrade
6- Phospor Slimes will disappear if you don't get the Solar Shield upgrade or if don't place then at the cave area of the ranch

  Exploring:
1- Always carry some type of food, especially chicken, in case you find a Golden Slime or a Lucky Tabby Slime, and NEVER sell a golden plort when you get one, hold then to use on the Lab or sell a bunch of them when the price is high and you have 30+ of them
2- Try to explode the Gordos as soon as posslible, they can give you shortcuts or keys to open a new area
3- In the desert, pay atention for the sounds, every day, a golden ginger spawns in a few different locations and stay there for a set amount of time, when you give one of then to a Golden Slime, he produces 3 plorts, and you use it for something special (Watch the video or see the wiki, I'm not telling you)
4- Energy upgrades for yourself and the Jetpack are essential, buy it as soon as possible

There's a lot more of things about this game, but the game will get boring if I give spoilers of everything, just try not to fall in the ocean or die to the slimes, you'll lose all your itens

Yessssssss, Slime Rancher! I love this game so much, it was a core memory for me, and a Floydson video on this game is something I never knew I needed.

42:56 bro that is one of the rarest slime in the game

babe wake up, new floydson 100% video dropped

I’m so excited for the slimy shenanigans. Slime rancher is one of my fav comfort games!

I really wish he would release more videos, but I understand that 100% for some games takes some time so all good I guess. 😢

No offense was meant by this comment, so everyone can chill now 👌🏻

IMO , he is a great YouTuber and I love his content.
End of story 🙃
