Here it finally is! The project I had in the back of my mind for about a year now finally came into live last week when I tried to not only beat Persona 5 Royal, but Platinum the entire game within a single day!

24 hour time limit, 53 trophies to obtain - this was definitely one of the biggest challenges I have done so far!

Since I had a couple of people now ask this in the comments - Akechi is not required in order to unlock the Royal content (only Maruki is) but maxing him gives you an additional FMV after the credits which is technically the 'True' Royal Ending hence why we max Pancake-Kun as well!

romancing Ann cuz you don't need to work for it is diabolical.

Crap man, you learn something new every day, I never realized reapplying buffs in this game extended by 3 turns, I always thought it meant the duration was extended to 3 turns, as in you can top up as many times as you wanted but you could only go 3 turns without reapplying. In my defense, I'm pretty sure that's how it works in the other games, especially Metaphor and SMTV. Those games let you make a debuff or buff stronger but it'll still always fade if untouched for a strict set number of turns

I've never seen any Persona 5 glitches before, so this is really really cool! (Timestamp ~28:00)

1:21 so my mom doesn't play games much but wants to see P5, so we started doing a P5 playthrough where I control the game but she makes the choices. This included the main character...

Jack Bower. Same inspiration. Problem, I didn't know who Jack Bauer was so I spelled it wrong and only found out because of this this is really funny!

15:20 “Out of all party members, Ann has the lowest social stat requirement for max rank.”

Yoshizawa:

Still, props to you! ~~now try 100%ing the Thieves Den within 24 hours if you’re feeling really insane~~

5:54 damn, you killed shido that early? Respect, you're a master speedrunner! I guess the run's over then!

@RosyMiranto 9 months ago

The fact that you only took about a week to edit this, is a speedrun in on itself :p

Commenting this during the rules section: for your health please don't do a "no pause timer" clause. It's a huge flex sure but people have died doing stuff like this 😢

Congratulations on completing this. Watching this video has taught me a couple of things about the game I never knew. The out of bounds skips for Okumera and Shido's palaces and that you can buy will seeds that you miss from Jose afterwards.

I would say I would love to see a lot more of these kinds of challenges but I’m pretty sure every other persona game requires the entire compendium as well as a second play through for the secret boss, it’s honestly not realistic to do.

This was super fun though.

Oh HELL yeah, i absolutely love your persona challenges and have been catching up to the arcana series recently, and this is SO up my alley!

I did this trophy hunt in one run, The hard ones are the Thieves Den, That shit is actually hard asf

@byrontheusurper6505 9 months ago

Isn't it crazy how spotlight never made it into an actual move? Because it feels pretty vital to some of these fights!

I had a feeling you were familiar with the speedrunning scene for this game since I noticed most of your strats mirrored what I've seen in any% runs. And then you gave them a shout out during Okumara.

Man I love speedrunning
