Question : do I really need an AC ?
What I know is that I nearly have nothing to pay each time I go to see my doctor, and I'll need him more and more as time goes by. In 2 weeks, I'll get my yearly free flu vaccine, I'll just go to the "pharmacie", have my vaccine done in 5 mn, nothing to pay, then go walking in the town market to buy food and then enjoy a coffee at a café terrace.
If the climate change brings every summer one or more heat waves, maybe I'll end up buying an AC, a gadget that will have become useful. Yet, I really don't see the need, and being able to withstand the cold in winter and the heat in summer strengthens my health.
That’s unthinkable in Germany; everything is covered 100%, whether it’s hospital care or doctor visits. Medical services cost a tenth of the price for the exact same thing.
When will people in the US finally wake up? And it’s not socialism or communism, despite what the propaganda claims.
Ever heard of the concept of "social"? It’s something completely different from socialism; it simply means "for the community."
1. because houses built out of (SUFFICIENT) bricks are COOLED by these STONE-LIKE materials (just touch a stone that hasnt been baked in the sun and do the same with a tree).
2. because we have developed a rythm of life that allows for breaks during the hot time of the day ... since we dont need to "hustle" 25 hours per day to afford a basic life.
There is no way to pretend a rotten system of exploitation has advantages of any kind. That's just hypocrisy.
I guess US grocery stores and supermarkets do home deliveries as well.
