I live in a small apartment so I don't have mushroom to do this. 🥁

I thought I’d failed at mushroom growing until I caught squirrels eating them. When I took a closer look at the logs I realized they had been fruiting all along, but the squirrels were paying closer attention than I was! 😂

Step 1: Home ownership.
Step 2: Grow my own mushrooms.

I'm on it chief.

Note to viewer - do not load your 5th story external fire exit with wooden logs. Do not do this.

A very important thing to remember is that mushroom spores are very allergenic. Growing in your living room or in the kitchen might seem fun but very likely give you the nastiest cough for weeks. Do not grow mushrooms in living spaces, only in basements, pantries or something like that and ventilate the hell out of the growing tent - not only it removes the CO2 and provides more sturdy mushrooms, but saves your health.

Bloody hell - you will be the death of me! 🤣Every time I open your channel, I fall further down the rabbit hole. The cupboard and fridge are full of fermenting things, thanks to you. I'm already a mushroom fanatic, and I'm growing various species at home, but this just took it to another level. I'm now shopping for hardwood dowels on Amazon. I've contacted a friend who is trimming trees on his acreage and told him I need some donations. Lol. Much Love - you are the best!

Is this your long awaited mushroom epic you’ve been hinting at for over a year? Very excited to watch.

You want to drill the bucket holes in the bucket prior to packing them with the inoculated substrate. You will need to sand the holes a little to clean them up. Also, make sure that you all get food-safe buckets. Also, make sure that your substrate is clean. Mushrooms bioaccumulate toxins so you want to make sure you get organic substrate

Thanks for the shoutout, Mike! Love your setup - really cool to see Shiitake logs in the BoomRoom and those Lion's Mane gummies look 🔥

Crazy that you managed to make this whole video and avoid the word "contamination" wholly.

I did not need to know how easy it'd be to grow mushrooms. Time to add another obsession to my garden

the part i felt we needed the most and wasnt present on this video is: right, you got your first batch of mushrooms from a pre-built block. how do you make your own starter to keep the cycle going without having to keep buying starter kits?
