Just a reminder that guinea pigs are social and should never be housed on their own. They need a friend

I can not stress enough how happy it made me to hear a YouTuber mention that pets need literally the MOST space possible. Thank you Jackie for making sure this information was put in the video!

Some species of Real life chameleon color changes aren't as drastic or dramatic as media makes them out to be. So the mini chameleons change being a bit subtle is actually more accurate

Jackie tearing all of the booklets… instead of the same one is crazy!!!

Mini brands needs to do a shelter charity line where you adopt little mini pets and some of the profits go to real shelters to help animals in need :)

12:00 this is exactly how chameleon color changing works in real life; they cant do crazy colors like depicted on television, but only shift their hues to be lighter or darker.

Thank you for reminding us that parrots are NOT a good pet unless you're very experienced. They are the closest to a toddler you'll get. Except they're like that for MANY YEARS.

They need ample space in enclosures, tons of enrichment in their cage and their fly zone, yes they need fly time every day (some folks have a dedicated bird room, others let them around the house, or even train them for outdoor flights too), need fresh fruits/veggies, can get very loud when excited or bored, and need good ventilation in their areas in order to not get sick. They're intelligent and will bond to one or more people, know when they have a need that must be met, and suffer similar to humans when neglected. You also need a specialized vet to take them to, since not all practices treat birds.
Depending on species, they could live a few years or even 75 years for the very large parrots. It is a LONG TERM COMMITMENT and not for everyone.

If you adore parrots, but ownership isn't a good fit, there are rescues who might take volunteers and at the very least accept donations to help birds who have been dumped out had their owner pass away! ❤️💙🧡💚

In Australia recently, we've had a scare in relation to kinetic sand.  It's been discovered that various brands of kinetic sand (may) contain asbestos, so they've basically all been pulled from shelves, and various schools had to shut down temporarily to make sure their sand was all collected up and the students checked out.  Goodness knows how long it's been going on.

the "green bushes" i think are suppose to be marimo moss balls which are very cute!

The little guinea pig one looks almost exactly like the last guinea pig I had. When I had guinea pigs (we had five) I would buy spinach, cilantro/coriander, parsley and various other fruits and veggies to the point where the supermarket cashiers would commend my healthy eating when in reality 95% of the fruits and veggies I bought were devoured by my guinea pigs. Guinea pigs also live their best lives when they have at least one other guinea pig companion. They're social critters and in some countries it's actually illegal to sell just one guinea pig (unless you can prove you already have at least one guinea pig).

I love and appreciate you taking the time to explain good pet care even if you were fretting about it being too much. Unfortunately so many people just jump straight into getting a pet without consideration for the pets needs and media representation of pet environments do not help with that.

Just done common ones to add on:

All fish need as much room as possible, but bettas especially so. You need at minimum (and I do mean at minimum - bigger is better) 5 gallons for a single betta to thrive, and that is if they are in the tank alone. The aggression that they express towards other fish isn't a weird quirk, it's the fact that they are stressed AF because there are other fish in its territory with no place to hide. So I highly recommend if you want a betta with multiple fish to get an even larger tank, and ensure your betta has a lot of good hiding places in the tank with plants and domes and such.

Hamsters are solitary creatures. They will either fight any other hamster in their cage, or do the other aspect that makes baby hamsters, or both. If you want multiple hamsters you need multiple decent sized cages.

Guinea pigs, on the other hand, much prefer companions. So much so that I believe in New Zealand it is illegal for your guinea pig to not have a buddy because it's considered cruel otherwise. So be prepared to buy two guineas and account for the space, toys and food for both.

Axolotls as well as salt water fish are incredibly difficult to care for and are not recommended as first time pets. I would spend fifty years trying to explain axo care alone. Please do plenty of research before considering these pets.

Birds live a long time. A long heckin time. Especially parrots and tropical birds. Be prepared to have a bird for life and possibly have to consider adding to your will and testament who of your friends and loved ones will continue caring for your bird after your death, because they probably will outlive you. Same with tortoises tbh

I could keep going. Basically though, if you want a pet, do your research. They're living creatures and deserve love and respect

5:04 thanks for that Jackie, I love when people gaf about animals❤❤

I’m so glad you advised others on getting large pet enclosures Jackie because it’s so important and it makes me really sad when I see tiny hamster cages and small fish bowls so often 😢 I’m excited to see what fur babies you get!! 💝

If Jackie ended up getting the hedgehog mini pets, I know that my mom’s little radar would go off because she absolutely loves hedgehogs a lot 🥰😅🥰

Aging myself, Chameleon should deff be named "Karma"

Thank you so much for taking the time to mention that animals need much bigger enclosures! ♥️♥️♥️
