Awesome video. I was also never shown how to actually use the metronome when first starting out... This is a great way of explaining it! And the ending was gold 😂

that was the first thing my tutor taught me.

As a beginner, I usually set my metronome to 40 bpm and adjust from there. Breathing and blowing takes more time than hitting a string or key.

A professor at the Paris Conservatoire(CNSMDP) actually said its bad to practice scale with a metronome, because it restricts the air from moving freely.

I was never taught how to use a metronome. I love my flute but i cant get a teacher where i live .and i really want to play more besutiful music .

Thank you for this valuable lesson.

Your instructions are very useful to me

As a life long drummer currently teaching themselves the flute... I can't believe I clicked on this video

Hi Sarah ! Many thanks for your video !! I have issues with my attacks (I think this is a bad positioning of my tongue). Do you have some tips for me please ?

*"Hey teacher, I have a question. I've been playing the flute for five months and I play cinematic lounge, but sometimes I feel stuck and like I can't get past a single note. I have a very self-critical ear and I want to improve on my own."❤❤

2:46 Ugh! The OCD in me is causing me to cringe hearing this.

What method book do you use to teach flute?
