I have an audition in 32 days. I have a book with the play in it. My question is should I read various parts of the script or wait until the audition

so i understand that when we don't remember our lines, it is OK to read it while looking down at the script the entire time while reading and then look up when our partner starts their line to keep eye contact?

If I’m mesmerizing a script is it okay to occasionally add a few words, for example if I was reading from the script “I want candy!”
But I decided to “spice” it up a little and say, “I want that delicious candy now!” Bad example but is that acceptable
