Welcome to Brushtober, my annual month-long celebration of Procreate brushes through Making Art Everyday! All month long, we’ll be using drawing prompts as an excuse to get curious about our tools, try brushes we usually ignore, and shake up the way we make art.

For this Brush Play live, there’s no finished project and no pressure to make anything “good.” We’re going to scribble, swatch, layer, experiment, make some questionable marks, discover some happy accidents, and see what happens when we let the brush lead the way.

I’ll also give you a tour of my free Brush Up! A Guide to Procreate Brushes e-book and Brush Testing Workbook, share what’s coming up during Brushtober, and show you some fun ways to get to know the brushes already sitting in your Procreate library.

✨ In this live:
• Play and experiment with different Procreate brushes
• Loosen up with simple mark-making
• Discover new ways to use brushes you already own
• Pay attention to how different brushes behave
• Kick off Brushtober and the October Making Art Everyday prompts
• Explore the free Brush Up! e-book + Brush Testing Workbook

Grab your iPad, open Procreate, and come ready to mess around with your brushes!
