After our Tailgating disaster in 2022 back home in the UK, we enlisted the help of some friends in Detroit to give us a REAL tailgating experience and help support the Detroit Lions before their big game.

Thanks again to @anhudy for helping us have a TRUE American tailgate!

Wearing a Referee jersey to a lions game is a bold move. Their original rivals

Ollie getting tickled by some random drunk man is so on par with the plot LOL

Josh being lowkey terrified of some of the drunker fans...xD

The edit with that old man screaming about "this is our year" and the overlay of the final scores is diabolical

Tailgating is SO EXTREMELY REGIONAL the foods you get in Detroit at a Lions game will be totally different from what you'd get in New Orleans at a Saints game or at Kansas City at a Chiefs game. The one thing that will be the same everywhere tho is the drinking and excitement.

Drinking a pocket fireball and then pronouncing "I am ready to officiate" while wearing referee stripes is, unironically, perfectly the right kind of humor for an NFL tailgate. No kidding, that is EXACTLY the type of joke in that environment 😂

Venison sausage made from someone’s recently hunted deer is the MOST Michigan thing you could have eaten. It doesn’t get more Michigan than that.

Calling a Sloppy Joe "chili on a brioche bun" is just the Britishiest of the British lol.

Really gotta admire Ollie for sticking to the ref bit throughout the whole episode

Before anyone tries to pop off about, “oh that’s bland American food” as a Mexican from Los Angeles, I once dated a woman from Michigan and had me over when her parents visited and watch a Lions game and said, “sorry but it’s white people food.” And then I got treated to not only a vast quantity of just really good home cooking, some really friendly and inviting people. And damn did her cousins know how to plow through a whole rack of beer. Glad the Jolly team got to experience this, especially in Detroit.

As a Detroiter, I can proudly watch this video and say "oh no I know that guy" at least once or twice

The Michigander walking up politely to deliver a fireball shot is like being knighted by the queen/king, you guys are now midwesterners.

We moved to the US and this week we will go to our first ever tailgate. I’m cooking South African food for our friends. Boerewors and lamb chops.

I actually love that the default London for someone from Detroit is in Canada and not England. 😂

Being a Brit who has lived in Detroit for over 30 years, it blew my mind when I first went to eastern market for my first lions tailgate, just thousands of friendly fans sharing food & alcohol, they don’t tailgate in England, just go to a close pub for a few before the games
