🎬 EXTENDED SYNOPSIS: A manned space mission to the moon ends in disaster when the astronaut requests to be blown up to prevent an alien contagion from reaching Earth. Ground control complies, but a small piece of the wreckage survives reentry: the astronaut's severed arm.
The appendage crash-lands on a California beach, where it is discovered by Paul (Rod Lauren), a misunderstood medical student. Paul takes the hand home, unaware that it is possessed by an alien intelligence with a murderous will of its own. The hand soon exerts a hypnotic control over Paul, turning the innocent teen into a strangling machine.
As the body count rises and the local Sheriff (Alan Hale Jr.) investigates the mysterious strangulations, Paul struggles to fight the alien influence. Meanwhile, scientists from the space agency desperately search for the missing limb before it can spread its cosmic infection further. It is a race against time to stop the crawling terror!
