After explaining his contingency plan, they should have added the fight scene to see the plan in motion.

Batman vs the horror verse is a series we didn’t know we needed

Somehow I think Batman's dreams would probably be more dangerous for Freddy than Batman.

I recall in the Arkham Knight, Batman was put deep under Scarecrow's hallucination gas and you play a segment where Batman was in a nightmare and ended up winning it and woke up to which Scarecrow even himself stated in disbelief "What are you?!" A testament to Batman's sheer willpower and mastery of his own mental state.

Krueger with a yellow lantern ring, he would be feared in the Dream and physical realm

Weirdly, I'd love to see Krueger vs. Joker.

Things you should know about Freddy:

- Freddy feeds on fear, so simply showing that you're not afraid of him will weaken him.

- He can only be active in the dream world, so having a mastery of your own dreams can turn the tables on him.

- He only targets children, so getting them out of Springwood such as closing down all the schools will keep them safe from him.

- He only kills in Springwood because he can never leave, that's why he never went after the other survivors of his past killing sprees.  Springwood is both his hunting ground and his prison, so the best way to get rid of him would be emptying the town (let's face it, even Batman wouldn't poison an entire town or drop a nuke on it).

- Freddy needs people talking about him, so having some take credit for his killings would make everyone believe that he was Freddy all along and cause people to forget about him, the same fear that The Joker has.

So, beating Freddy isn't hard at all. If you don't have it in you to do the extreme stuff, then just move away from Springwood.

The terrifying thing about Freddy Krueger is the uncertainty—never knowing when you’ve crossed the line between reality and a dream. Any attempt to devise a contingency plan against him could, in itself, be an admission of his influence. By the time you’ve begun plotting your strategy, you might already be trapped in his world. The cruel irony is that the meticulous planning, the calculations, the resolve—it could all be taking place in a dream-state, with the dreamer unknowingly teetering on the edge of a coma, powerless against a predator who has already won before the battle begins. The only way to truly defeat Freddy Krueger is not through resistance, but through transformation. Once you’re drawn into his world, the key to his destruction lies in becoming him—mirroring his powers, his abilities, and his very essence. To face the monster, you must embody the monster, matching his strength with a replication so complete that it overwhelms and consumes him.

But this victory comes at an unspeakable cost. In taking on Freddy’s form, you would forfeit your own humanity, severing any ties to the reality you once knew. The ultimate sacrifice would be to destroy him from within, knowing you could never return. It’s not just a fight against evil—it’s the surrender of self, a tragic and eternal imprisonment in the very darkness you sought to vanquish. This would mark the end of Freddy Krueger, but also the end of everything you were.

Batman, they think I’m hiding in the shadows!

End of the battle. "I am Batman."

John Constantine and Zantanna

I was hoping Batman would call up on Sendman the king of dreams to assist! This combo could've made Freddy hopeless.... or dreamless!!

Well hell Batman only sleep like 5 minutes a day so  Freddy better act quick.  But truthfully I feel  like Batman would fall asleep on purpose and control his dreams even better than Freddy simply because he's  Batman.

Superman does not need to sleep, eat, drink. He only does so, just to fit in.

This would be a perfect moment for Batman to use the Joker. When chasing his victims, Freddy usually takes on the form of their worst fear or he’ll recreate a traumatic moment from their past. But unfortunately for him, the Joker fears nothing nor does he have a known past, so Freddy would have nothing to use against him. Once Freddy enters his mind, he will find out what true nightmares look like

His battles with scarecrow should help

Pennywise has lost to kids, and died once. Freddy Krueger has an entire franchise and has always got back up and brushed his shoulders. 😂😂😂

Besides not being afraid of him and using Hypnocel(anti-dream pill), Freddy does have one main weakness and his motive on why he kills kids: his daughter Maggie. Not only he loved her, but she witnessed him killing her mother, his wife Lorretta Krueger.

Batman failed to notice one crucial element that will throw his entire plan into failure:
Freddy doesn't need for you to be afraid.  If he has enough souls, they feed his power.  He feeds off his souls that he's already collected.  They make him stronger and stronger regardless of the fear of the one he's chasing.

See?  He doesn't need YOUR fear.  He carries enough fear with him everywhere he goes.

In the first movie, Nancy was able to defeat him by turning her back on him because he didn't yet have enough souls.  It still didn't work for long, however, and he was able to return.

In the second movie, Kruger took quite a few more souls.  He got a lot of kills.  I don't recall how he was defeated in that movie because it was so horribly written that I didn't want to do that to myself a second time.  But he was able to keep his souls.

In the third movie, he fights Nancy again and she was powerless against him.  She attacked him without fear, but he was unaffected by her attacks.  When she commented on it, he told her his secret.  It's the souls of the children.  He no longer needed new fear.  They defeated him with a burial in a hollow grave, but that didn't last long.  He was too powerful for that.

In the 4th movie, he was finally stripped of his souls.  He was completely ripped open and all the children broke free leaving him powerless.  Alice then made a wish to keep him away forever and that almost worked.

In the 5th movie, Freddy came back by using the dream power of her unborn child.  He used the three new souls he'd managed to collect to power up the fetus in order to keep using him as a dream conduit, but he himself had not amassed a great amount of power.  The baby, now in the form of a young boy, was able to turn against Freddy using the power of the souls against him.  This weakened him again and his mother's spirit was able to then contain his essence for a time.  This was in essence locking him away, not destroying him.

Freddy was finally destroyed in the movie "Freddy's Dead".  He was brought into the real world and his body was destroyed releasing the dream demons, but not any souls.  Apparently, this wasn't enough to destroy him.  He was able to reconnect to the dream power.  Perhaps if they had stripped away his souls before separating him from the dream demons, it may have worked.  This is the mistake Batman is making.

In Jason vs. Freddy, we learn that Freddy has finally been defeated for good.  He had no souls and everyone alive had erased him from history.  No one spoke of him or even thought of him.  Freddy had no more fear and could no longer escape Hell.  He was finally locked in an inescapable prison.  The arrival of Jason disrupted that prison as the teens gave Freddy enough energy in order to bring him back from Hell.  Freddy immediately began trying to get souls to fuel himself.  He had to compete against Jason who was killing teens faster than he could in his weakened state.  Freddy finally got a few kills and had enough power for a sustained fight.  Freddy could finally take his time and strike fear into the hearts of his victims.

In this simulation with Batman, it was said that Freddy is once again on the loose.  That means that he's been collecting souls.  That means that he has a constant supply of fear.  If Batman doesn't find a way to release those souls, Freddy will return from any prison.  His brain will heal and he will establish his link to the dream world once again as he has already done in the past.  If Freddy has souls, no prison can hold him.  The only way to win is to release all of his souls and erase him from history forever.  you have to do both or he will return.  Batman will fail.
