I never knew what this holiday meant.  After losing my baby brother a year ago, this video moved me to want to pause on this upcoming day to honor and remember my brother and his life.

I believe she is the second Day of the Dead doll that Our Generation has released in the last two years. I’ve only seen her once at a local store, but these girls sell out quick each year. Hopefully, since these last two years have sold out, they’ll make a bigger release next year! I don’t have either, but my first Day of the Dead doll was a special edition MH Skelita. I adore her, and the beautiful tradition these dolls represent! My SIL bought me my first Day of the Dead Barbie with the marigolds all over her white dress, and she is a highly prized doll in my collection.

She's such an interesting doll and she looks really quality! That dress! Also, marigolds can come in many colours, even though I think people typically think of them as orangey.

Oh my gosh Ann!? This is spectacular!! I love Day of the Dead because it's linked so closely with catholicism. All Saints Day is a holy day of obligation and there's usually a mass for All Souls Day too. That's so smart of you to ask for two dolls so one can be given away. 🤧 You are so sweet Ann.

Hi, Anne. Now that I live in Mexico, the Day of the dead celebration is magnified. The family altar stays up through November, with the fruit refreshed periodically. We marked it as  family before I moved, but I didn't experience it really until last year. She is lovely.
I just checked the Target website and she is listed as not available, sold out, and is marked down to 20.99 for Target Days.

I love this doll but think the first OG Day of the Dead doll is even better.

I have always liked The Day of the Dead dolls and I got this one. I also have a large artist doll of Frida Kahlo which I put her with. It looks so good.

Nice I'm happy you collaborated
!

Oh wow she’s so cool

omg, as a Mexican this is actually so cool, I’m glad that they stayed loyal to aesthetic! and btw your pronunciation is so good, your r’s sound really nice 🙂‍↔️

THIS IS AMAZING. how beautiful, such a special doll

Congratulations on having cartina in your doll family and cartina is a cute doll!

Hey Ann! Thank you for letting us see this beautiful doll! I don't own a Our Generation doll, but I really love this girl and want her so bad! When I tapped the link it read: out of stock.☹️ Does this mean she hasn't been released yet? (Hoping!) Thank you!❤

Ahh you're so lucky to get her. It is amazing OG can sell a beautiful doll like this for a wonderful price compared to AG who would sell this doll for $200.+. Unfortunately I do not use Instagram so I cannot win this doll. But congrats to the one who wins!
Oh I have a whole collection of Day of the Dead dolls. I buy those 15" skeletons we see all over the place and make Mexican style clothes for them and paint their faces. It is a beautiful tradition and should be celebrated by everyone I think.

She is so amazing!❤

She is sold out.
