A video with Kibler an Wheeler dunking on modern horizons would do numbers 😂

"Brian Kibler storytime" is exactly why you click on this!

Graham predicted a great ppr… little did he know, he could not see his own exclusion from the event. Get well soon.

Graham's reaction to the art for Blue Mana Battery at 47:04 is very funny to me since that's how I imagine outsiders view the esoteric emotes that Kathleen has for her Twitch, many (all?) of which were designed by Graham and also have a geometric motif

I love Kibler's stories, they're so sick

Excellent, as always. Thank you!
This is great, but I really miss Wheeler shouting “James!!!”.

Holy crap, Kibler rocking the Geralt look and pulling it off.

First card is the best card in one of my favorite decks: Five Color Bad Stuff. It's like a Five Color Good Stuff deck, except it's all bad. Shared Fate allows the deck to finally live the dream, and no longer have to play its own terrible terrible cards. "Absolute butts" is an understatement for this deck; it makes itself even worse by not having ways to find Shared Fate, so you're often stuck with Aisling Leprechaun, Zephyr Spirit, Mudhole, and Aladdin's Lamp.

You know, it's one thing that Kibler has had so many experiences as a pro Magic player, but the fact that he's also a really good storyteller makes you pay attention. I've known a few people in my time who knew tons of stuff but couldn't explain themselves out of a wet paper bag.

It's really cool to have Kibler on since he's been playing since he was a kid. Kinda like Kurt Russell I guess in that he was there for a lot of classic stories and history

22:33 As someone who's introduction to EDH as a format was the release of the OG Commander decks, I honestly thougt the design reason for Terramorphic Expanse was so you could have a second Evolving Wilds in your 99 😅.

I think Brian is slowly pushing his way into my heart, and becoming one of my favorite magic creators. He’s pushing into the top five.

Shared fate seems like it fits right into The Omenkeel for Olivia.

Always love Brian and Olivia, but I hope graham never stops calling it “Watch the Throne.”

@Dilussss 1 year ago

the deck I learned to play the game against had red mana battery, ramp, dragons, and land destruction 😂 miracle I'm still here

One of my favorite "protection" cards is Skirk Fire Marshal from Scourge. I'd been playing since Urza block, but the mechanics + the flavor text is what tipped my friends and I off to the fact we might have been playing the mechanic incorrectly, which led to the classic Wrath of God vs Pro White, which led to me learning the entire comprehensive rules and eventually becoming the judge for my LGS.

So, fun story about conspiracy: I also had a time where I drafted the "make a creature a bird of paradise" and I picked Skitter of Lizards. I went on to draft 4 skitter of lizards. Later on in the draft, I pulled the card that let's you add another booster pack to the draft. I asked the judge and my local store owner if it could be any pack, and he said sure, so I added in a Born of the Gods pack and ripped Keranos, God of Storms out of it. So, game 1 turn 1 was mountain, skitter, skitter, skitter,skitter. Turn 2 Keranos. I ended up winning that draft.
