obviously not enough riding experience caused this accident.. the new asphalt
created a high spot and the rider should have knew better to get too close to it..

Brother, Moonshiners 28 looks like one of those roads that’ll keep you paying attention even before you throw construction into the mix. That raised pavement edge could get somebody in a hurry. I’m just glad your buddy was able to get back up and keep riding. The bike can be fixed. That’s the easy part. Ride Safe and God Bless 🙏

Good morning Rev Jay, fellow Rev Jay here, prayers for the rider 🙏  watching your videos gives me inspiration to hurry up and get my Buell's back together & get riding again

Thank the Lord He was not hurt any worse than he was.
I always try to remember to ask the Lord to go with me anytime I leave the house on the bike and thank him when I get back safe and sound.
And it's not just a bike thing, it's a life thing.
I thank him for what he has taken out of my path that I never knew was there.
When I go to bed at night, I try to ask him to keep my house and everyone in there safe.
This world is a dangerous place. I wouldn't wanna try it without him.❤❤❤

The Fugitive dam scene was at the Cheoah Dam, off 129 NOT Fontana dam off 28.
The rider that went down was due to rider error. A failure to maintain his line and crossed the center of the road into the new lift of blacktop.
I was down there last year, and can't even begin to county how many riders lacking skills crossed the center line repeatedly, even with oncoming traffic.
Was very surprised I did not witness a head on crash, but there were a few that were close.

Glad that Brother wasnt hurt to bad! Getting back up and riding 2 more hours shows how tough he is!  💪💪💪

Looks like he crossed the centerline to hit the raised edge.

When I was a new rider with less than a year's experience, I rode the Moonshiner and thought it was really fun.  Years later and more experience, I rode the Dragon and must admit it scared me a couple of times and felt like I was riding down a corkscrew.  I guess it's all in your perception and experience.  The one danger I did encounter on the Moonshiner is when my ex-husband was driving behind me and explained what happened when I saw a flicker across my head.  My ex told me that a wild turkey had flown over my head about the size of a football.  Had I been riding any faster, I guess I'd've been taken out by a turkey.  How embarrassing.

Not flying like a manic saved him from getting really hurt. Good to hear he was up and riding as soon as it happened. Hitting that high divide is rough in a four wheeler but with two wheels it is potentially deadly.

We ended up on that last week with our pickup and trailer by accident following the GPS also on Dragon

OH that's horrible, Prayers go out to him

Don't ride on the centerline of the road and you won't have that problem

I dropped my Road King in a construction zone on the Skyway. Don't let off the front brake with the wheel slightly turned on a steep downhill flagman stop.

Looks like when he leaned in, with the off set rise with new lift.  Either the board braket dug in or the lift difference washed his front tire out. Or combination of both. Glad he's ok since he didnt have riding gear.

I have done this ride on hell bender 28 several years ago.

Cheoah dam on 129 was the film location.

Remember, it's a public road, not your own closed race course.  I rode for 50 years and have stayed away from this circus.  Plenty other roads in America that are breathatking and empty!

as much as it sucks,😢 you always put the slowest up front.

Wrong Dam

That wreck was something else. That was some masterful camera work by the guy on the KAWASAKI. 😂
