When training on an IMOCA 60, anything can happen in a split second. We were out on the water pushing Malizia 4 to her limits with the crew when the build up of high speeds and intense loads caused our mainsail to partially tear.

Watch as the team springs into action to secure the sail, assess the damage, and make the repair and take the decision to turn back to base.

Thanks for sharing things like this with us! It really gives us a better insight into how repairs work, during racing that's much trickier to document thoroughly. Also, better for it to happen now than during the Route du Rhum or The Ocean Race, giving you time to analyze and repair.
Please let us know what the reason was once you know!
Apart from that, some great scenes of Malizia IV flying, and the crew obviously enjoying themselves. Whoever was on the steering wheel had this specific grin - she must be amazing to drive! ❤

I like the guy with the soft red helmet. This is exactly what I think. Obviously, they need in-ear comms. Expect a crash any second. Great stuff, guys
