Very raw and heartfelt. Recovery is so hard when it mixes into the mental game. Took me almost 2 years to get back after a concussion. Times I could train, but when i raced, the recovery was brutal. even mid-race i just didnt have the same durability. I literally felt like a draining battery. mentally, i wanted to be there, but when i was there, I felt very hollow and out-of-body. How can something I love make me feel so empty. And yet, another year later, the recovery is back, the mentality is back. Dylan, you'll get there. Time heals all wounds. Being able to let-go of the need to grow/improve/do more, and appriciate what you do have, right now. be kind to yourself. Now when I race, I feel very grateful, to be physically and mentally capable. both are needed to succeed.

super inspiring.for my its all about the meta game that is life. And it feels like he might be halted in one area but made leaps and bounds in the exploration of the self, and progressed in another area that in the long run will be far more valuable. godspeed to him and me.
