By far one of my favourite medley compostions. Its constant high energy and exitment is something that hasnt been seen since. Love how they didnt feel the need to drag out the strathspeys and airs. The only problem i have woth it is the dynamic rqnge of the drums but thats never going to happen with fmm pipe core being SOOO strong. Still to this day it has a place in my heart.

Their battle with Inveraray in the recent past has been nothing short of incredible. On one hand, the magic of Inveraray seems to transport you to another world; on the other, the mechanical precision of FMM keeps you locked onto what is happening in front of you. The words are not there to describe the feeling of listening to these bands, and for that reason it is better to just sit back and enjoy.

amazing how far this genre's come since 87ths's Live in Ireland blew the barn doors off

As a (former) tenor drummer, the thing I've always loved about FMM is that they actually use their tenors! They're not just there waving their arms around looking derpy, but actually playing the drum. So many other grade 1's just use them as props but not FMM.

Sublime! For me, the sig tune of that selection was the 2nd Jig. Amazing playing from the pipe section and phenomenal Ensemble. The switch to the F to introduce Mrs MacPherson was excellent. A superb performance from all the band.
