As Kelk Ronso said: ".Small voice, small frame, but a will that towers over Gagazet's Peak."

Yuna is my joint favourite protagonist of the whole series. The FFX reveal when Tidus finds out that all this time, Yuna has known she is fated to die - but is going cheerfully along on her pilgrimage anyway because it's the right thing to do for everyone else - hits like a truck. And then she refuses to sacrifice her friends for her Final Aeon. She's an absolute rock. She loses so much through the whole story, but she never breaks.

Yuna is the definition of quiet power. She set my expectations for what a strong woman could look like young. Needless to say, my CNJ in FFXIV wears her clothes as a glam. I love and respect Yuna so much. ❤

One thing I grew to appreciate about FFX as I got older is the story telling device of Yuna being the real protagonist, and Tidus is basically the narrator. Really great writing.

I think Yuna in X-2 was perfect as a 19 year old who lost her first love and had her whole world shattered. She never expected to live past 17, and now has to find who she wants to be in a world that’s also lost its way after the veil being lifted on the major religion, and a power vacuum being left. Both games work equally well for me. One is about finding your way up the mountain and the other is coming home after the summit.

That scene in the Zanarkand Trial before you fight Yunalesca has stayed with me ever since I first played FFX. I always come back to Yuna's speech about overcoming sorrow whenever my depression is kicking my ass.

Yuna is truly great character: strong, feminine and quietly spoken with an outstanding sense of duty. Even though she knows the inevitable result of carrying out her duties she doesn't waver -- not even once. I think the English voice actor deserves some kudos for her portrayal too as she managed to create such a gentle feel to her voice that has such a deep sadness hidden in it. Proof that female leads can be strong without embodying masculine traits.

Yuna has always been one of my favorite characters in the franchise. Even more so after X-2 because I know what it’s like to navigate life after freedom from a cult.

The sending at a shambled Kilika is prob one of the most sacred images I have in my mind :')

Her quiet but immense strength and resilience moved me so much. As a character, she keeps inspiring me.

Yuna and Tidus are incredibly underappreciated. Theirs is the story of two fundamentally good and positive people, a natural born leader with the weight of the world on her shoulders and her manic pixie dreamboy himbo. The characters are incredibly written and portrayed, their mirroring arcs are beautiful and the final scenes always get me, especially Yuna shaking her head when she discovers Tidus has literal seconds left to exist. The look on that 17yo girl that managed to save a condemned world once and for all, having her first selfish thought since she was a child, her rejection of an evident reality she can't do anything about after having performed the greatest miracle in history is heartbreaking in all the best ways.
She will always be my fave.
Small voice, small frame but a will that towers over Gagazet's peak

Yuna is a lovely, selfless woman in the first game. More self-focused in X-2 but still very likable. Very gentle and considerate.

the fact that she’s soft-spoken but still capable of great damage. she’s my favorite character in ffx for her dignity, grace, kind spirit, she works to make people happy while feeling melancholy. but also i love her breaking traditions and making new ones, and i say that as a person with religious trauma.

Yuna did her sending dance and Tidus said that group should come back after the adventure… omg and everyone was silent because this is a march to the death with her sacrificing herself and one guardian!

Splendid game. FFX is a masterpiece that no one can argue about.

Yuna is by far my favorite video game character ! Her whole journey and character development is amazing to watch both in X and X-2 perfect example of a growing young teen to a young woman finding herself ! Truly amazing

Yuna is by far one of the better game characters ever. Her growth between X and X-2 was well done...she was also under used in kingdom hearts

I've been playing lots of FFX lately this year for the first time. It's really grown on me, and I think it may actually replace IX as my favorite in the series after all. Yuna is wonderful. ❤

Played the remaster collection a few years back for the first time and loved this game, Yuna is so delicate and strong in her feminine keeping her emotions together the love between her and Tidus and the story is truly one of a kind. Recently got back to try FFX-2 and its so wierd I dont know what to think of it so far but I love the world so it keeps dragging me back into it.

Yuna is one of my favorite characters in all of Final Fantasy. That said - Cissnei deep dive when? 👀
