Final Fantasy 10 deserves a remake. And honestly... it’s not even close.
Final Fantasy X (FFX) is one of the most beloved games in the Final Fantasy series, but after more than 20 years, I think it’s the Final Fantasy game that makes the strongest case for a full remake. From Spira and Sin to Tidus, Yuna, Auron, Wakka, Lulu and the rest of the Guardians, Final Fantasy 10 still has one of the most memorable stories, worlds and casts in JRPG history.
But what would a Final Fantasy X remake actually look like?
In this video, I break down why Final Fantasy 10 deserves the remake treatment, what makes FFX so special, how its world and themes have aged, and why a modern remake could take Spira to an entirely new level.
We’ll talk about the story, characters, combat, Sphere Grid, Spira, Sin, Yevon, the Al Bhed, Zanarkand, Blitzball, the soundtrack, and the themes that make Final Fantasy X stand out from other Final Fantasy games.
And yes, there are plenty of other Final Fantasy games that could be remade... but for me, Final Fantasy X is the one.
From classics like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Dark Souls, to modern giants like Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Genshin Impact—we explore how the player experience has been reshaped over time.
