There’s a common thread running through this. Loneliness and a need for human connection. On both sides. I hope everyone in this programme finds happiness and security in their lives. And love. That’s the most important thing.
Ppl will laugh but I think documentaries like this are very normal. It shows different sides of a broad spectrum of sex work. It humanises the working ladies, the ladies who run the establishment and the men who pay. Yes it’s very quirky and British but I think places where sex workers can work safely should be legalised and protected.
As an older Gen Xer, I'm glad this prostitution is in the hands of a group of women and not the of the usually violent male pimps/occasional aggressive punter. Much, MUCH safer protection for the working women.
So much safer than being on the streets, sx work is always going to be around. Keep it clean, keep it safe. Hope everyone from this series is doing well 🖤
Laura: “During my time at work I’m extremely sexy. When I go home I am the most deeply unsexy person you will ever meet in your whole life. I’m talking a onesie, covered in cat hair, eating a bowl of Cocoa Puffs. It’s gross.”
