Can I list 50 items in one day for my eBay and Poshmark reselling business? Today, I’m tackling a huge reseller listing challenge and attempting to photograph, measure, research, list, cross-list, inventory, and put away 50 clothing items before the day is over!

Listing inventory is one of the most time-consuming parts of running an online reselling business, so I wanted to see how much I could realistically accomplish in one focused day.

Along the way, I’ll share my progress. What slows me down, how long each batch takes, and whether listing 50 items in one day is actually realistic.

Whether you sell clothing on eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, or another online marketplace, I hope this reseller work-with-me video gives you some motivation to tackle your own unlisted inventory or death pile!

Let me know in the comments: What is the most inventory you have ever listed in one day?

Wow! I’m retired and rarely get more than 2 listings in a day. You did far more than 5 hours of work, darling! You made meals. You homeschooled and cared for your kids. You exercised. Give yourself credit! Well done!

I am astonished you can work so quickly and be a full time teacher to your children as well. That’s a lot of working from home. 🎉

A good day for me is about 5 listings. Everything always takes longer than you think.

Wow! That's great!! I don't even have kids and I can't get motivated enough to do 10 a day.

This motivates me to get my listings up

I learned most top sellers take as many pictures as they can in a day (usually 10-50 pics) and then write the descriptions, pricing, etc for only 3-5 items MAX. and Then post it. And they keep the rest of the photos in draft. And then the next day, they create as many descriptions they can of the item, pricing and stuff, put it on draft. Only post 3-5 items a day. That way, they are constantly "posting everyday" and it's pushed out to more buyers as new

If you are using the box method for inventory. Take an empty box to your listing station. As you pack the item, put sku on bag and then place the items in the box in order. When the box is full, take the box to the computer and list them in order (return each item back into the box once listed). Then all you have to do is put the box on the shelf. Makes listing faster. Hope this helps. Good job sticking with the challenge. Our minds are the biggest hurtle, now you know you can do it, it will be easier the next time.

You ROCK!!!!!
I struggle so much with listing.
I homeschooled for 13 years along with caring for other family members and side hustles. Be sure to always try to take care of yourself. It is not easy because often we are the last on our list.

Great job! I’m a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom too and I’d have trouble getting that much done! Your video is definitely a motivation for me to give myself this challenge. 10 listings per hour seems like great time to me!

You're doing great! Keep up the good work. I've been reselling clothing from the "bins" since 2007. I always have to tell myself "Trust the process". I raised 4 kids as a single mom, doing this nearly full time...you got this girl 👸

I do batching and schedule the listings out. It comes out to 20 a week but I do it part time. I think you have great work ethic and will do fine.

Go buy a garage sale table to fold and prep to store your clothing items. 30 seconds extra per item on the floor equals about 20 minutes of time just going up and down.Just a thought.

Thank you for breaking down that you were going to attempt to do 5 batches of 10. I have enough in my "to be sold" stash that I am going to try this. Will start with 10 and see how long it takes me and see if I can get to 50 in a day too. I have bills to pay and the clothes will not sell if they are unlisted.

I do not photograph and list in the same day I call it salty Saturday is where every other Saturday I stain treat steam and photograph lots of clothes so I have an abundance opposed the list at all times, but I left three times throughout the day because I’m on the West Coast so I’m trying to hit all the time zone zones😂
