*Bloodsport (1988) Official Trailer (redux) in HD : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PI-3t8cBZ64

"I think Bruce Lee is Bruce Lee, and Jean-Claude Van Damme is Jean-Claude Van Damme". Respect.

80s ruled. Anyone who wasn’t there I feel for you.

1988 was one of my happiest years. Damn how I miss the 80s, heart breaking those days will never come back.

One of the few celebrities who is a genuinely kind and warm hearted individual.

"I did my split, I showed my muscles, and I said I'm the best and I'm not too expensive right now, take me now." LOL, he was so adorable. :)

He nailed this role and he cemented himself as a great action star of the 80s and early 90s.

i remember being a teen in 1988-1989 spending a night at my friends house and he had had gotten bloodsport on vhs.  that was the best night ever. played some nintendo and watched some good movies..bloodsport being the best of em

Vandamme was the reason i was the toughest kid in school. He was the reason i got into combat sports and later my line of work.....Much love and respect to him and all his fans too!!

Those old fashioned interviews. Silly, but somehow genuine and warm.

he was one of my heroes when i was a kid...he's one of the reasons i've always been interested in martial arts and started kickboxing.

He spoke better english in the 80’s than now..

i love this music pure 80's style

This is why I love Youtube.. Stumbling on some old Van Damn interview from the 80's.
Funny reporter and great interview!

we all know van damme hit that after that interview.....

Young and full of energy

sparring in a weight room is easily the most 80's thing that has ever happened

Such a humble and easy going human being. I love him.

3:36 the guy sparring with Van Damme is Mohamed (a.k.a Michel) Qissi, a very good friend of him. He played Paredes in Bloodsports and Tong Po in Kickboxer (one of the most badass Vilain of martial arts movies).  You're welcome.

I have never seen this one, thanks for posting.

As a young, graduated teenager, this movie was epic for me.  I will never forget coming out of the theater thinking, this guy I just watched is going to be huge, and for a time he was. He had the entire package, and a lot of charisma, wish things had turned out a bit different for him in regard to the self-destructive tendencies and later his bipolar diagnosis.

He is still one of my top 3 action movie heroes from my teenage years, and I think to this day, Double Impact is one of the best movies form the 90s for me.  I really enjoyed JCVD's performance as twin brothers, it is just a feel-good movie for me, maybe that is weird.

There will never be another Jean-Claud Van Damme, he is still the man!
