Muhammad Ali vs Sir Henry Cooper
In the red corner, floating like a butterfly stinging like a bee, his opponents hands couldn't hit what their swollen eyes couldn't see, It was the greatest of all time, Muhammad Ali. Pacing in the opposite corner, stood the pride of London, at 6 feet tall and a lean 190 pounds of pure British beef it was, Henry the Hammer Cooper.

Cooper knocked Ali down was a big favor. Muhammad didn't take him cheap or anyone else and went on to be the champ.

Ali was unquestionably the best heavyweight in the history of boxing and I loved watching his fights. That said, he was allowed to get away with a lot of rule breaking particularly holding behind the head of his opponents. I saw most of his fights and saw him warned a few times but NEVER saw any points deducted. Of course towards the end of his career he would mostly hit and hold, hit and tie up his opponent. It was truly a beautiful thing to see him fight like we have seen no other fighter do but we need to tell the whole story. Seeing him get smelling salts after the Henry Cooper knockdown was stated as completely illegal and the "hole or cut" in the glove has always had a question mark to go with it. Even if he would have been disqualified he would have gone on to be the greatest we have seen , I have no doubt of that.

Cooper industrious but has no strategy, Mohamed Ali has physical strength, and mastering the ring together with rapidity in punch. The end game Ali tore Cooper apart, and that's why Mohamed Ali is the greatest.
