Got a used one for $220 a couple of years ago, searched on YouTube, your channel came up, and you have been my goto guy for all things Grand Champ ever since. I get your Vibe and really appreciate it. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge in a very pleasant way without all that crazy/trendy influencer editing stuff that is all over the place these days. I never grilled on it but that's gonna change real quick. That chicken looked amazingly moist and crispy!

Got this Grand Champ 2 years ago for all the reasons you mentioned. Great smoker. Very functional. I put thermometers on both the extra holes provided. Gives great control and command of your heat zones. The lid and box are even lined for smoke seal. Wide tall chimney for even more control. Tons of room inside with both racks etc The flip up front shelve is very useful. BUT....I'm also a griller and this works really well for that too. Again lots of grill space for multiple meats/fish etc and big cooks. Seemed I was always running out of grill space on previous units and had to cook in batches. At first I was going to improvise a way to get the charcoal tray closer to the grill by putting it on blocks or whatever. Realized after some use that was unnecessary. If I do want less space between grill and tray I just build up the charcoal mound a little higher. I shopped a lot of BBQ's and this rig is by far the best bang for buck. Well designed and built. Very solid. I'm a long time smoker and griller and sure I could have gotten a custom pro rig. But would be way over kill and waste of $ for my backyard purposes.....although can't believe how much the GC has gone up since I bought mine which was on an end of summer sale for under $500. I've really enjoyed mine. Highly recommend if you are looking for a very versatile and high quality griller/smoker in the mid price range.

I started with an Oklahoma Joe's 12 years ago. Because of you, I bought one of these. Smokes the OK Joe's out of the water. Thank you, Tony!

Love my Grand Champ XD. I do more smoking than grilling but your tip on controlling the temp with the stack helped a lot so I expect to do more direct heat grilling.

Loved the monologue! I reckon you are about five years younger than me. I’m vintage 1970, I beg you were born in ‘75.
