As a car mechanic, I'm really glad more "beginners" are using jacks correctly. Having your floor jack left up with the use of jack stands is very safe. Not getting crushed is something you shouldn't be embarrassed about 💀.

i genuinely love the car mechanic stuff you post

I love how she’s explaining how to do it but I have no idea what she’s talking about

I'm too old to publicly admit I'm enjoying these videos

So impressed with your confidence in taking on new challenges.

BTW, dragging your fingernails over a bar of soap before working on your car will prevent grease/oil from getting caught under there.

Never fully loose that fear of being crushed under the car! I worked for a towing company and the guy who did the night shift had been there forever but one night he was doing some regular maintenance and didn't chock the wheels and it fell and rolled over him and he died. We were all shocked in disbelief, it was so fkd up.

Just stumbled onto Joyce, she’s fantastic!
I’m 62 and lament that ‘nobody works with their hands anymore’! Yes, I’m that old. This video should intro a ton of people to working on their cars.
And it’s funny as hell!

I'm a mechanic, and you do a great job in the video. Most important thing is jack, and jack stands. Seen so many YouTubers/tiktokers not using Jack stands, trusting their lives to the jack. You did everything correctly, besides maybe the wiring repair, not best practice, but will be fine. You do so well, im guessing your dad is a mechanic. If not, even more impressive.

this is unironicly one of my favorite car fixing series

dude, good for you for just jumping in and learning one thing at a time. I think if more people had learned young when they had time they would be willing to save the money later in life

"I got a dash cam, So now if I crash, i have evidence that it was my fault" lmao i love her humor 😆

As an older fella who's first car was a 1999 civic, this is bringing me back so hard and just hitting the nostalgia just right. Keep up the good content. The energy and edits are spot on too.

Jack stands and keeping the jack in place safely is a must. My car started shifting around side to side, and I Was really confused seeing the car move above me. I yelled at whoever was moving my car to stop it! found pudding in my pants after I got up finding I yelled at no one. I live in California and it was an earthquake

I got my first shitbox last month and I am dumb as a rock and so scared of doing my own maintenance, but these videos give me a little bit of hope. A little bit. I really admire your confidence with new challenges and how quickly you pick up on this stuff?! Amazing.
