In this video, I’m turning an old Australian ironbark log into a homemade wooden chopping board.

The log has been sitting around drying for nearly two years, so I thought I’d put some of the timber to good use. A bit of cutting, shaping, sanding and finishing with oil, and I’ve got myself a solid little chopping board.

Ironbark is an incredibly dense Australian hardwood, making it an interesting timber to work with. This was a simple DIY woodworking project using materials I already had lying around the property.

Just another small project making use of what I’ve got around the place.
