He is the definition of a champion—an extraordinary athlete who has conquered everything there is to conquer. Multiple-time gold medalist, Olympic champion, World champion, European champion—he has reached the pinnacle of the sport at every level.
Yet despite all of that, he remains one of the most humble athletes you could ever come across. Perhaps he is also one of the most underrated athletes of his generation when it comes to media exposure and public recognition.
Nothing but respect for an athlete who belongs to a very exclusive club of all-time greats in track and field. What he has achieved places him among the sport’s true legends, yet this fact is not communicated or celebrated nearly as much as it should be. The reasons for that may be many, and perhaps not easy to identify, but his greatness is undeniable.
Respect, and only respect, for Miltiadis Tentoglou.
