A year ago, I moved to Spain alone, at 54 years old. Before moving, I had three big dreams: to travel a lot, to meet a man, and to start making money from my blog. A year later, I can honestly admit: none of them came true.
But does that mean my first year in Spain was a failure? Not at all.
In this video, I summarize my year of emigration after 50 and explain why, in a new country, completely different goals took center stage: extending my residence permit, learning to speak Spanish, finding my people, coping with anxiety, and stopping constantly comparing Spain to Russia.
This video isn't just a summary of my first year in Spain. It's about what happens to a person after moving, when the euphoria wears off and true adaptation begins. And about why, in the first year of emigration, it's sometimes more important not to fulfill big dreams, but to find psychological stability and a solid foundation.

Jetzt , nach nach ca. 14 Monaten meine Balance : 1.Sprache gelernt ,2. den ganzen Papierkram habe selber erledigt . Bin voll integriert. Liebe alles hier . 3. habe Freunde und Hobbys .4. Lebe seit 3 Jahren in einer ASKESE ( Bewusste Verzicht auf Beziehung) . ABER , wenn die Männer nicht will, dann fliegen die auf dich zu wie verrückt ‼️
5. besuche eine sehr große spanische christliche Gemeinde,🙏 einfach Hammer .
