It felt illegal to hear 39 intro for free

DISC 1 IS A STORY ABOUT HIS TRIP BACK TO FAYETTEVILLE.

He went to his friend’s funeral. Reached out to his ex that he eventually married but she wasn’t fw him. Until he saw her at a party, they had a convo, a shootout happened and he made it home when his friend got shot. They meet up at the end and Cole starts reflecting on his life.

Disc 2 was made AFTER the beef as a reminder to himself and others of his greatness.

Disc 1 - concept
Disc 2 - a great collection of songs with multiple odes to HIP HOP

This shit is phenomenal gang

this rdc skit gon be a classic

Chat jus be sayin anything then switch up immediately 🙂‍↕️🤦‍♂️

39 intro ALONE is worth the price of admission.

I already know alot of the younger generation isn't going to appreciate some of the old school vibes in this album and that saddens me. This album is amazing!!!🔥🔥🔥

Does chat even know what coworker music is? 😭

Most rappers flex cars and chains. J. Cole flexes emotional intelligence and still goes platinum.

Valid reaction to Quik Stop. I listened to I Get Up damn near every day for almost 2 years after my mom passed and I had to drop of out college. My only goal was to pay off what I owed that school, get back in, and graduate. Worked construction and at a restaurant for scraps, but I never forgot why. Prayers, focus, and I Get Up were consistent parts of those days. 2 years after those 2 of struggle, I graduated and started a family. I have a well paying job, 2 healthy children, and am blessed beyond measure. While I listened to all of his music heavy, I Get Up stands out as a consistent spin that helped me in a major way during that time. I would be the same way if I ran into him at the gas station, foreal. Authenticity over everything, shout out to Cole.

Respect to Rage Locking in and actually listening to lyrics😭 He might not point out every lyric but he trying his hardest to lock in for real🤞🏽

I listened to quik stop 5 times and cried all 5…thanks for not making me feel bad

Cole been saying bitch high pitch since the come up he also put that adlib in GOMD but only day 1s know that

damn near the entire album passes the car test tbh, kinda crazy

Well that was pointless to time stamp

I love her again is soo tuff😭🔥🔥

Love her again isn’t about a girl, it’s about Hip-Hop

his best album ever ima be real, disc 2 alone is peak j Cole, he never been better

I GENUINELY dont know the next time a song will make me feel the way Quik Stop did. That typa feeling is only invoked once in a blue moon like, thats true, genuine, pure art. That song is a reflection of humanity gng
