Ideas: Wrath version of EM (instant cast + some % spell haste for 15 seconds.) as the keystone (lava burst was a class ability). Wrath FT imbue w/ spell power. Give us back totem twisting or bake Windfury and Grace of Air together and give ele/resto a caster totem. Mana is still pretty bad, and it really shows when we try to aoe in dungeons and lose like 50% of it on our first 3 casts, magma/fire nova/chain lighting, really may need a sham rage esc mana ability if we are gonna get to play either dps spec for more than 30 seconds.

No one uses LB low levels, the fact that it's getting any damage reduction at those levels is silly. I'll smack boars with my staff even harder.

Good that your giving Ele the spotlight it needs for the devs to notice it more, thanks dude

I've thought about this a bit... I think Reverberation (5 points for 1sec off shock cd) should be a 2 pt. talent, and call of flame should be 5 pts and increase searing totem cast speed and damage by 6% each point. It's a ranged fire totem, perfect for ele playstyle and scales lightly with spellpower.

If they removed pushback from taking hits in melee or provided some other form of encouragement to stand nearby (improved damage the closer you are to the target or something like) that would lean into the "Yes I'm a caster, but I'm still a hybrid who does melee damage" aspect of the Elemental shaman, much like how some of the new talents for Enhancement lean into the Elemental side. This would be a unique "wanding" option for Elemental.

The dream is to weave between states to truly inhabit what a shaman can do but half of the stuff the shaman gets doesnt connect with the other.
instant wolf? **bitch better pay me 7 talent points in enhancement**.
want some mana regen?  *that cute, better pay me 8(!!!) talent points in Restoration*
Want to actually use your shocks, heals, and totems without drinking after every other fight? Want to use your totems reactively as the fight changes?
Sure, but every adjustment costs mana, global cooldowns, and before you actually get to do what you want you're gonna hit a massive brick wall that says out of mana, or you're dead. And that's what frustrates me. The Shaman has an incredible toolbox, but instead of talents creating interesting interactions between those tools, you're spending points just to remove the friction between them. And yes other classes have that too, but nowhere is the issue so obvious as by the shammy

The first few takents are useless.   It saves like 2 mana  per cast or increases damage by 2.  While other classes get some insane first row talents

Shadow Priest is similar in that you don't even want to play it pre level 22 when you get Mindflay and imp. MF, or maybe even wait till 40. It's a bare-bones spec for 39 levels, needs to have its power spread up towards the start of the tree, currently its majority focused into a level 40 talent. Also Ele and Shadow lack unique support too. Ele needs a caster buffing totem, Shadow needs support too like Misery. Ele looks better since it can cleave with CL and AoE with Nova, but definitely they're the 2 most neglected casters.

Ele needs a talented weapon enchant that buffs ranged dps casting. Like something that ups damage, crit, or procs something.

I think the reason they've been so silent about ele shaman, and light on the changes, is there are items later on that really make it powerful and smooth out the gameplay. We just are in the dark about it at level 30.

I'm practicing my route and the dmg on LB feels a lot better in the first 20 lvls. Six points resto is definitely the play at the start, which I think is fine. The problem I see is there is a lack of spell dmg or even int leather gear in quest and dungeons so we will be stuck rolling on cloth.

Comparing ele to balance, balance gets push back reduction available 1st talent row vs ele 4th row. They get range extension at 2nd row vs ele 5th.They also get a root that is the same range as wrath at lvl 8, ele frost shock is half the range and not learned till lvl 20. So we don't have a way to keep the enemies away from us while casting and can't cast while they are on us and can't cast from as far in early levels.

Ele as it stands looks like complete and utter dogshit definitely not worth playing sadly unless they find fixes

Should also note that the CAPSTONE TALENT for elemental, lava burst, does less damage and has worse scaling than a mage's baseline level 36 fireball, plus a cooldown and setup requirement.

I fell in love with ele shaman in season 2 of shadowlands only for it to be changed in season 3 and I feel like Ive been chasing that high ever since. I know being a more classic version of the game its not going to feel the way it did then, but I just feel like every iteration of ele ive played since then has had some very frustrating aspect about it. Heck even the version I fell in love with had frustrating aspects. I just wanna see a pure ele shaman win for once.

Haven't seen Ele in such a bad state in a long time. Curious how they fix this, lol.

I was excited to play ele sham. It was the first class I ever played when I started back when wow launched. I'm now going enhancement just because of all the talk about how ele is not good at the moment. I want to play it, but I don't want to struggle while leveling and pvp.

We need to stand out for ELE, keep it up

Blizzards blue post about taking away Elemental Mastery was because it was just "Too powerful in PvP" and "The best solution was to remove this talent and give Elemental Shaman new spells and capabilities." does not add up with what they have given us and compared to other classes with instant cast spells too. Blizzard again is treating Elemental like an afterthought with boring talents, and a capstone talent that isn't new/exciting at all.. We haven't gotten ANYTHING brand new, just regurgitated nerfed spells. There's still time but wtf yo?

Il going to lvl ele to be ele and resto but I really hope they buff ele and dwarf 😭😭
