Hess immediately post-game going "I hated every second of that" is the real chess experience

Danya imitating Hikaru recalling moves from some past tournament at 21:15 just after Hikaru talked about moves from a past tournament at 17:30 really made me lol 😂

Never been rooting for someone in a chess match as much as been rooting for Team Danya/Hess tonight. Go Sensei!

Hikaru and Levi forgot to realize they can't spell chess without HESS

Danya’s endorphin rush at the end was awesome to see

If you still have the audio archived, you should release a new video with the full audio from Danya and Robert talking through this whole match as tribute to Danya!

this is like the most excited Danya has ever been

I've never seen a more wholesome team than Danya & Robert 🔥

This is my new favorite format. Hearing great players discuss ideas during the game is instructive, but it's also massively exciting!

The funniest part was when Danya did his impression of Hikaru saying something like “I remember playing a game against a Russian in 1999” and then Hikaru said almost exactly that

Danya's humility recognizing Robert all the time is just awesome. Although he's clearly the stronger player, this really was team work. They both contributed to the outcome and valuable contributions they were.

That was the most exciting match I’ve seen in my 7 years of watching chess. Sooooo happy for Danya and Robert and good luck in the final

Danyas pop off is legendary, he completely lost control and was stimming like crazy - he was so excited. Delighted the lads won, most likeable guys going and great chess duo.
