Cotton Hill Cemetery also known more modern day as the Marcum-Johnson cemetery. Find a grave website has it listed in Fort Gay WV for some reason, but its in Crum, Wayne County WV. There is a lot of interesting stories and people here. As well as a lot of tragedy.
We had permission from the owner to document the cemetery and we only use public information anyone can access.

Back to back videos on my ancestry I absolutely love it I thank you guys so much for all the hard work you do. You have filled in a lot of blank spots in my tree. How ironic I am related to the johnsons and Marcums my birthday is March 21st

Carl was my dad....Wayne was his dad. And of course as you noted, that makes Dock my great grandfather. Last time i was up there was in 2008 when we buried Dad. Thanks for sharing Leo , i really do appreciate what you do.

These ordinary people are my favorite part of history that you post. Their lives are very interesting showing they had extraordinary challenges and strength. You're a great storyteller, Leo, and the research here is amazing 👏

The cemeteries you have visited in several of your videos were just awesome. If I was still teaching, I would love to bring my students to one of those cemeteries to do some research on those people as well as the community. You share more history through your videos Heather and Leo than the History Channel. Thank you so much. Keep up the great work.

Hey from Memphis. Heather and Leo-y’all make the best cemetery exploration videos.
Leo’s mellow voice and Heather’s research what a great team.

Just love it when you do documentation of these cementaries! But when I hear that music, I start tearing up.. As I get older, sad things make me cry! Thanks to Leo and his wonderful narratives and Heather gives us a story with their names! Thanks to you both!!! Hugs...

Your wandering around these old cemeteries has me going into the woods and old Graves of my family. We have lived around here for 7 generations. There are several cemeteries that also have my ancestors. My 7th great-grandparents are buried on my place. Circa 1760 to 1820. They only have rocks to mark the Graves too. ❤ TY Leo. Hey Heather 👋

Every time I watch these videos, I have the same wish. Wouldn't it be amazing if there was an online database of these personal histories, family connections to nearby graves, causes of deaths, etc? And tags with QR codes that could be stuck to the back of the stone, so people could scan them when they visit the cemetery and immediately have access to the stories ( so many forgotten) of the people resting around them.
( I have absolutely no clue how monumental that setup would be. Its just something I wish for when I visit an old cemetery. And even more when I see these videos bringing their stories back to us.)
