That's one thing people don't give Prince credit for, having the energy to acquire an entirely new younger audience every 5 or 10 years. He seemed to be able to reset his chronological age back to 22 like a vampire. He wouldn't play his eighties hits on the oldies tours with the rest of the eighties stars, he'd totally invented himself as a new artist with a new catalog and a new band.

Damn, she’s so sharp. Her picking him up on the second question, when 99% of us would have completely forgotten - I think that speaks volumes on the kind of person you need to be to engineer for someone like Prince - full presence, full attention to detail, absolute clarity of thought. Cos you know if you forgot something & Prince didn’t, he would’ve been on you like a hawk. I definitely need to read her book. 👏👏👏

I love listening to Susan!  I am a HUGE Prince fan and somewhat of a Prince historian.  I have researched him, studied him and collected his music and other items my entire adult life.  Prince was and still is, a huge part of who I am as a person.  I never knew him obviously, but I love him.  I used to read ALL the album liner notes and would dream about meeting people in his stratosphere like Susan and Peggy.  I think Susan and Peggy both are wonderful people and listening to them now brings a warmth and comfortness to me that I miss and treasure.  I wish I had known you ladies.  Thank you to everyone who has put these YouTube videos online.  I love them.  I miss him. - William

Whenever she’s spoken about P, you could tell there was mutual respect and love there. She’s one of a handful of people that actually knew him💜

Compiling all of her MANY interviews about working with Prince would be an astonishing volume of information.

The legendary Susan!!!

Thank you sooo much for these gems/interviews.
Don't stop. 💜🤩🌟

I wanna know about what Prince and her discussed about the Wendy and Lisa album❤

Thank you for getting these amazing interviews back online. Shame on Sunset Sound

Wonderful how well produced these vids are. Great sound and great visuals/lighting. Does justice to the high caliber people you are talking to

Very Interesting. Also, Thanks for doing these videos for the world to learn and enjoy.  #💜

Nice interview

Yes, he changed very rapidly after she left. It was dramatically so. As was rough as a huge Prince fan going through that and going WTF? From one the best artists of all time in the 80's, to one of my least favorite artists of all time in the 90's. I have no idea what happened. So glad he got his groove back on in the 90's and to the very end.

THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜

That solo is one of my favorites of all time!  Had no idea he could play like that.

Awesomeness!!!

Thank you so much for these videos.

I can listen to Susan talk about Prince all day long. By the way, BrownMark, Jill Jones, Dez Dickerson, Terry Lewis, and Jimmy Jam are fun to listen to, as well...

I feel like Prince transformed several times over his career.

80-81 dirty mind to controversy
84- we all know
87-88- peak prince SOTT Lovesexy
93- death/ the artist formerly known as
99-00 internet prince- revolutionary
04- musicology- the rebirth
13- the end- the Afro- legendary prince
