B4 I watch this, I just wanna say 199.75 laps of the 2001 daytona 500 is the best racing I ever seen
After watch. Im so glad you didn't let the ending keep you from ranking it high. You earned my subscription

2005 should be 1 or 2. I know the finish doesn't define a whole race but I thought it was phenomenal, and those last 10 laps were as thrilling as it gets. The FOX booth made sure everyone knew it too.

2001 Daytona 500 was maybe the best one ever until the end

2004 is so underrated the fact Jr made the pass without any help was amazing

I will echo the sentiment by many here that 199.75 laps of the 2001 Daytona 500, that was without a doubt the best 500 I had ever seen and possibly one of the best races I had ever seen.

I was at the 2008 500. Great race. I was sitting closer to the pit exit and Turn 1

As a Mark Martin fan, 2007 is pain. As a grown Man now realizing what a drive Harvick had to win, it’s still pain, but tons of respect too. It also being the swan song for the gen 4 car to me, makes it more special.

It’s still astonishing Matt Kenseth did not get hit by anyone in the 06 500 after Stewart pushed him into the grass. Even Bill Weber was bracing for a wreck “WATCH OUT”.

They would later have an incident later that year at the All Star Race in Charlotte.

I just want to say a huge thank you for the incredible job you've done and continue to do on your main channel, Voti. You've introduced me to many races I never had the chance to watch as a kid.

the 2001 Daytona 500 was the best Daytona 500 of all time right up until it became the worst race in NASCAR history. I agree it's tough to rank it, and i don't know if I could have ranked it as highly as you. Good video

Junior became so irrelevant in the 2002 race that his car wasn’t even acknowledged in the big one coverage even though he was dead center screen

I remember, as a Stewart and Chastain fan, this race was the embodiment of pain. From 2007, to 08, and recently 2024

I enjoyed this video of the Daytona 500s. The 2007 was a wild one and I remember Mark Martin & Kevin Harvick were side by side to the checkered flag and Kevin won by inches. It was a good day for Mike Wallace and James Finch with their top 5 run for the 500.

I’d say 2007 because I’m a Harvick guy.

But 2001 was great, if not for the last turn it would be.
