It's about Vikings. Not vilifying immigrants at our border. They liked the Nords legends

This is basically a "Viking War Chant". The Immigrant is Viking Warriors going to England lol.

The song was written during the band's tour of Iceland so it's obviously about the Vikings.

There's something both terrifying and thrilling about this song. And the relentnessness of Bonham's drumming is just perfect.

As Jack Black put it so well when he introduced Led Zeppelin at their Kennedy Honors ceremony….”They sang songs about love…about Vikings…….about Vikings making love.”

Robert Plant, one of the best voices in Rock!

you have to remember that a lot of these guys back in that time these are college-educated dudes and their music a lot of times is really deep lyrically

Lyrics might help. But this song about the invasion of the British Isles by the vikings, told by the Vikings. Middle Ages

Probably the greatest Rock song of its time ever. Led Zeppelin the GOAT of that era for sure!

Can you imagine being part of the  audience . Having these guys come out and blow you a way !! True rock and roll 🎸

The bass is a killer. J.P.J. respect!

Led Zepplin = Best drummer, best guitarist, Top ten basest, and The Best frontman vocalist. = GOLD

Yep You are correct Led Zeppelin is THE most Influential & THE most Imitated Band

It was also on Shrek lol

The singer Robert Plant is very interested in early British history.  This is about the Scandinavian viking raids and invasion of the British Isles from 794 AD . The occupied north east england ,northumbria, for several hundred years . Led Zep had been doing concerts in Iceland and apparently had had a very nice time   so they wrote this to celebrate . I also think you should do Since i've been loving you the live at Madison square garden 1973 performance next , you'll see their blues influenced side but if you want to go full on rock Black Dog , rocknroll and  heart breaker all from the same concert. You need more led zep resistance is futile !!!

When The Levee Breaks - my absolute fav Zep track!

It was in Thor: Ragnarok

"Hey, Hey What Can I Do" is a great song by Led Zeppelin

"Valhalla I am coming" should have given it away, frankly...
Edit: "tribal war feel"  - yeah, you got the essence, basically. Check out the studio when you get a chance.

Led Zeppelin was like the Beatles of heavy metal. Having grown up at the time there was nothing ever like this before. Every album they put out was excellence and originality. Go through their library I'm sure you will agree. Jimmy Page was one of the original rock and roll session players like Eric Clapton.. honestly the first time I heard this I was a young teenager and I almost had a heart attack lol after this the biggest thing was Black Sabbath and then after that was Metallica in my opinion

At one time in the 90's, I remember an article talking about sampling in Rap. Led Zeppelin was the most sampled artists in all of Rap at the time.
