The Power of Journalists - Drunk History

Comedy Central

The Watergate scandal, the treatment of Playboy Bunnies and the conditions of a 19th-century insane asylum: These three stories were broken by courageous journalists and whistleblowers.

About Drunk History:
Based on the popular web series, Drunk History is the liquored-up narration of our nation's history. Host Derek Waters, along with an ever-changing cast of actors and comedians, travels across the country to present the rich tales that every city in this land has to offer. Booze helps bring out the truth. It's just that sometimes the truth is a little incoherent.

I loved the "walk a couple of blocks; get into a cab; get out of the cab; walk a couple of blocks; get into another cab; get out of that cab; walk a couple of blocks" part

I am apalled that this show got cancelled. It was just too amazing. I will miss it so much

Progress is going from a constitutional ban on alcohol to two drunk men talking about a feminist in a tiny tub on tv. They must bring this show back.

As a mental health professional, there’s no way in hell I’d go undercover in psych hospital, especially back in the day. I don’t trust the system enough to believe they’d ever let me back out.
Edit: Not saying all mental health facilities are bad. The majority of them help people. That being said, we still have a long way to go and need wayyy more funding for mental health.

Dropping this show is one of the WORST decisions Comedy Central ever made next to losing Dave.

"You dont have the balls to get in a bath tub in a bathing suit with me do you"
About 2 minutes later(irl time not video time) they are in a bath tub

It touched my heart that he was so moved by the first narrator’s story. I love to see that from informative pieces like this, even though they’re also comedic. It’s a shame they got canceled, because it’s so important to keep history alive so we don’t have to keep repeating it.

This show was kinda perfect. Voices, stories, knowledge, comedy, representation, entertainment, it was wonderful.

Love, love, love Abbi J. Her lip-syncing in this is freakin' perfect. I thought for a second that she was actually doing the voice.
