As an interested lay person, I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciate your videos. The subjects can be incredibly complex, but you "layer" the explanation to take us step-by-step to get to the real meat of the post. And you do all that without any hint if talking down to us.

Your other channels are just as good (though easier for me to follow). You really are educating us in cosmology. Thank you.

It blows my mind that we're further from the smallest thing than the largest in terms of orders of magnitude. There's more levels to get to the bottom than the top of the cosmic ladder.

As this year moves close to its end, I have to say finding this channel counts among my personal highs for 2025.

This makes it sound like there could be entire universes of existence, so incredibly tiny, everywhere all around us all the time that our slow, lumbering movements could never so much as touch, let alone destroy. Like, in the time it takes a fly to avoid getting swat, a thousand plank lifetimes would have happened on the hair of that fly, each harboring complexities as vast as we've ever tried to imagine. If that's true, and I guess why wouldn't it be? That makes "the universe" so freakishly impossible to imagine.

This by far the best youtube channel ever.

Dam, how the fuck did this apple survive us biting it at the end of the what is reality episode to become the protagonist to another episode now.

21:16 - That's really interesting that Bohr sucked in the chemistry lab in college. I remember a scene in the movie Oppenheimer where a young Oppenheimer also was having problems in his college lab. It was an older Bohr that notices this and advises him to leave Oxford with its "beakers and potions" and focus elsewhere on theoretical physics.

Something like that scene might actually have happened if Bohr was speaking from similar personal experience.
