That was the first UTS video I’ve seen where the enormity of the challenge, and the technicality of the trail have properly come across in the footage. An awesome achievement, not least in managing to film so much of your race where others would simply be concentrating on putting one foot in front of the other.

Awesome pal, i just did the Tougher cumbrian challenge in lake district, i was getting over the back end of the flue ,not one hour of sleep nite before, froze all nite, and the challenge it felt like hell mate , i was cold ,wet, damp. It felt like i was at the lowest point of my life, , the mountain after mountain when you thought you finnished, the mental torture it was horrible, im 52, 18 stone ,previous heart attack, so finnishing it getting my medal , its that what drove me forward to give it to my dad. Nothing but respect here, un believable achievement, well done ❤

UTS is a strange beast, it's a ridiculously technical course with countless scrambles and vast stretches of energy sapping marshland. This can either be soul destroying or massively addictive depending on who you are and what level of preparation you did ahead of the race. I recce'd most of the course before race day. If anything I was over prepared. So given you hadn't covered much of the course, massive respect to you for not letting it defeat you and seeing it through to the end.
I hope UTS gets more of the recognition it deserves. Easily Europe's hardest 100 miler (as far as I'm aware)
