We headed out to Cullinan Carp Co in Cullinan, Pretoria, for our first overnight carp fishing session at this brand-new venue. 🎣

My girlfriend and I were invited down to experience the venue and hopefully put a few carp on the bank.

Unfortunately, the weather had completely different plans.

The rain kept coming, the wind was brutal, and the temperatures dropped to the point where we were absolutely freezing. Despite putting in the hours, the fishing was incredibly tough and we struggled to get anything going.

As the night went on, it started looking like we might be heading home with nothing.

But sometime after midnight, one of the alarms finally screamed...

What happened next made all those freezing hours worth it.

This was definitely a tough session, but I'm incredibly grateful that we managed to get a fish on the bank, and I'm looking forward to returning to Cullinan Carp Co again in the future.
