Some tips for next time.
You want to run engine to warm oil first. It also helps get any debris in suspension so it can be sucked out in oil instead of settles on bottom. Of course on Seadoo don’t run engine more than a minute so as to not hurt the carbon seal.
When you insert the tube in dipstick hole go slow and when it touches bottom just lift a hairs width back up and that is best spot. Like you said if you push farther the hose loops back up instead of touching bottom. I also try to have my trailer tilted just a little back but not to much.
Then suck out all you can and then remove tube completely and then hold throttle wide open and crank for 5 seconds. This pumps oil from filter etc back to crankcase. Pull tube out first so the crank doesn’t twist it up and that is BAD if that happens.
Then after a few mins suck out rest of oil from bottom.
Then remove oil filter and I suck out any oil in there also. You really don’t need the grease on that bolt because it’s in oil it’s whole life so no chance of corrosion.
And for anyone doing this the first time it is normal to see a gap between the oil filter cap and body and see the edge of the top o ring. This gets asked a lot and people think it’s not in all the way but it is. That’s why there are two o rings.  
And like you showed add the same amount of oil that you sucked out then check the oil after running for a minute and you want the level in that dip marks on dipstick. It is normal to run it in the middle of those marks. Supposedly if it’s right at top it’s not as good as near the middle. Definitely don’t go over that top mark. I personally try to have it right above the half way point.

Hope these tips help out anyone who wants to do their own maintenance. It really isn’t that hard and can save you those dealership charges.

The socket needed for the oil filter is called an E-10 Torx.

Great job Gladys! I have the same ski, and use the exact same pump. Pro tip: when you take off the cover underneath the seat, pull the linq system mounts out before you take the cover off, that way the mounts will go with the cover and you don't have to worry about losing them.

Beware of this video. Some minor and major problems: 1) Engine was not warmed up; oil will be too viscous. Hook hose up to water inlet on stern. Start the engine. Turn water on. Run no more than 2 mins. Turn water off. Shut off engine. Let cool 5 mins. Repeat. (Never turn water on to a non-running engine!).   2):  After they've extracted the oil the first time the dude says, "start the engine again". Well, I think most of you know what he meant was "crank the engine again with throttle HELD wide open for 10 sec. so it DOESN'T start". But that's not what he said. He also doesn't show it being cranked again. So, if you've never done this before and you're following along letter for letter, doing what he says will destroy your jet ski. 3) The crank/extract process should be done twice after initial extraction, not once. 4) I don't believe he mentioned to make sure engine is level on the trailer. 5) After fill, engine should be warmed up in the same manner as in the beginning. Shut off and let warm oil settle for a couple minutes before checking level. Best to fill only to the middle of the acceptable range on the dipstick.  There is a decent video direct from SeaDoo on how to do this: Follow that one, not this one.

You could have used your pump..just use a reducer plug (they usually come with the pump) for the smaller diameter hose👍
